This is definitely a player Mourinho would have loved to have in his team..His personality is excellent...hard worker, no-nonsense defender...doesn't have the pace or dribbling ability of Bosingwa, but easily outclasses him because of his superior tactical nous....I never thought much of him when I started watching him play against Liverpool and Barcelona in the CL, but he has definitely won me over during the past two seasons...

I really thought we overpaid him when we bought him 2008. All I can say now is that he has become one of the most important players on our roster! Such a great character, worldclass defender and relentless worker! He will be a big time player for us in future, you'll see!
