According to the Metro, Crouch, Wilson, Carroll, Lascelles, Butland, are all Chelsea players.

The lack of activity suggests we aren't aspiring for average. We are looking for genuine upgrades.

Nice little bump.

Reading back, some of the suggestions would of destroyed us had we gone though.

Mertens or Dembele instead of Werner

Boga instead of Ziyech

Gedson Fernandes instead of Havertz

Lampard was right "‘When you’re creating 20 chances a game and not scoring enough goals that can be crucial’ ‘[But January] is not the ideal window [for] long-term and short-term. It’s about trying to get the choice right [...] considering what’s available’

Chilly today, Silva tomorrow, Havertz Friday. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Just these three would make any transfer window a success. The fact we also signed Ziyech and Werner prior to this is unbelievable.

And we are still expecting a GK too...oh man

you gotta be kidding mate,,it's like fairytale stories....:D

Its probably true because Espn Brazil is very reliable and the journalist is friend of Neymar senior, and Messi said in the end of last transfer window that Bartomeu was not doing enough to sign Neymar. Also, i'm telling you what the journalist said. Its a guy from Espn, specialist in transfers and have a channel with more than 1 million subs. Its not my info.

How do you think we can afford him?

His wages alone are around 50m per year, which would be 10% of overall revenue for an year. Even if we are able to get him for 200m for let's say 4 years, that's 50m amortized fee. Another 10%. So 20% of our overall revenue on one player?

This is on top of the 99m loss that we incurred for 2018-19. Anyone thinking we can "afford" him needs a reality check.

Because the merchandising alone would cover a significant portion of that revenue

We have an overall revenue of 500m (give or take). Messi yearly would cost 50m (wages) + 50 (amortized fee) + 10m (image rights) + 10 signing bonus (etc).

I honestly doubt that messi alone would raise our revenue by 100-120m.

If that was the case barca won't be behind united by 200m. Bayern won't be just 20m behind barca despite not having any massive marketable superstars.

Ps - just checked. Our revenue for 2018/19 was record revenue of 423m£. And yet we incurred a 99.6m£ loss. So imho, it's beyond a pipe dream.
