Chelsea Transfers

I haven't watched too much of Xavi Simons - is he really what we need? Won't we have another 'Nkunku/Felix' problem - he won't displace Palmer as 10, so we will try to shoehorn into another position, where he won't be so good?

Xavi can play across the front three, and we have to be very wary of running Palmer into the floor next season. We have CL and a shit ton of games coming our way after a very short/long summer, players will be tired as things go on and rotation will be key.

Talks between us and Simons camp for Xavi  will continue today...goal is to reach agreement, Xavi is open to CFC and talks with Leipzig, in the event of an agreement Chelsea can imagine playing with two number tens.

We have also started club to club talks with Atletico for Veiga, Veiga has said yes to Atleti

Veiga is surely gone. Can't see much stopping that. There is 40 mil there.

Sterling goes I think. If he is serious about playing for England again - he will leave. 25 mil euros.

Nkunku and Felix probably leave as well by the sounds of things.

We will probably have very balanced books in terms of net spend this transfer window if all this pans out.

Its also nice to see everyones tune change now that the club have said Xavi, Rogers, Fofana and Hato are the targets lol... Everyone acting as if things were dire prior to winning the club world cup lol.

Just push and get Xavi done ASAP. I’ve already hyped myself up too much about the idea of him so if we don’t sign him at this point and instead go for Garnacho it’s going to feel even more depressing than before.

He will just go on loan until his contract is over with us paying most of his wages.

No reason for him to give it up and we have no leverage other than our own financial suicide to end his career (paying him to train in a bomb squad out of pettiness).

It is what it is. Club has learnt from the fiasco and wont repeat the same mistake.

Chelsea are closely monitoring Alejandro Garnacho's situation at Manchester United, who have lowered their required transfer fee from £70 million to £40m.

What's the use of Xavi? Is he Odegaard like vs low-block teams?

Hope the board is aware they can sign defenders too
