So no Saudi for Osimhen after all that. Seems hard to believe that he’ll go to Galatasaray permanently as much as he loved them. He’s WAY too good to stay there at his age.

So where to? PSG? United for some silly wage?

PSG with Kvara, Barcola, Doue, Dembele, Ramos doesn't need another star, who has questionable attitude

I'm not encouraged by BVB's stance mind you. They aren't really fighting to keep him, and I would expect them to if he is of the calibre to make a really good impact in the Premier League.

They rejected a decent offer for him and they are holding out for the fee they want (closer to 50 million)

From what I've seen in their transfer history, they tend to sell players for decent profits every season as they are pretty good at picking up replacement talents. Dembele, Pulisic, Haaland, Bellingham, Sancho being the biggest sales in the past few seasons.

But, over the years, they've fought to keep selected players like Reus, Bellingham, Dembele, Lewandowski, Gotze, and Hummels, for example. The are not fighting to keep Gittens. They are just haggling for the best price they can get.

From what I read he was amazing before the new manager came in and just doesn’t fit his system

City and Real Madrid have now done just about all of their business (and very good business, too) before the CWC starts. Plus the new UCL winners are in the competition. I don’t see us getting anywhere near this trophy.

The club briefed all these journalists like a month ago or more that we were going to push super hard to get most of our business done before June 10th. So much for that…

So long as they just get the deals done I’ll be happy. We already have a huge squad for the CWC anyway.

We would haggle over a few million for Maignan yet likely go well beyond the first offer we’ve made for Gittens without hesitation (mixed feelings about going for him)….

Give Milan another 4 or 5 million and get it done as a good GK is absolutely critical for us. Then a top CB next.

Can worry about which up and coming attackers we are going to sign once we get those key positions sorted. Would say Delap signing ends any hopes of a top CF though.

City always buying technical ballers.

They just get it.

Yep, actually makes me a bit jealous sometimes. We as a club always seem to sign or prioritize pace, directness and athleticism whereas City always prioritize players who are super technical, intricate footballers with immaculate close control.

As we saw with Klopp’s Liverpool, you can be an amazing side by playing with a team full of super athletes who play high octane, balls to the wall football but you need some absolute killers up front like Mané and Salah which we still don’t have.

This the same Cherki we all were wary off given how notoriously lazy he is?

Many wanted him but these owners are dumb as shit. Even if he failed 20m was nothing.
