Pizy 19,333
Selling City one of our best players and taking one of their bang average ones who isn’t good enough for their best XI would be incredibly stupid. Even our idiots aren’t dumb enough to do that. mkh and Vesper 1

That is £116.4m in mid 2026 pounds sterling. ZERO chance we take a 30m quid haircut (in today's pounds) on one of the best CMFs in the world. He had a great year on a SHIT team. 22 total goal contributions as a CMF. 15 goals, 7 assists. He was tied with Federico Valverde (9 goals, 13 assists) of Real Madrid for most total goals produced by a CMF in the Big 5 league teams. Nadiem Amiri of Mainz (who turns 30yo in October) was the only CMF to score more goals (17 v 15) than Enzo, but 10 of Amiri's goals were pens, versus Enzo's 5. Pizy 19,333
He is a more “proven” player now than he was when we bought him and he has shown that he can put up great numbers in the toughest league. He is also still only 25 and not even in his prime yet. If he absolutely demands that he goes to City and ONLY City to reunite with Maresca, it’s an unequivocal no for a penny less than the £107m we paid for him. The ONLY players I’d take coming the other way are if Foden or Rodri want to be main men again and start most weeks here which they won’t do for City. As I said before, if the likes of Elliot Anderson is being talked about for £100m then Enzo who is a better and more productive player is worth more. It would be a disasterclass deal. Zero chance we take that sort of haircut. You can bookmark this: IF we sell Enzo for only £86m to Citeh I literally am done with Chelsea until BlueCo sell the club. But with this board nothing would surprise me and guess if he wants to leave cant stop him. Who knows if this season out of the champions league is a blip or being in the Champions league itself was a blip

Rodri (post massive injury) and Foden (his collapse is similar to Palmer's) are both shadows of the players they were just a few seasons back. The players I covet most on Citeh (no Håland does not count, he is not coming here, nor is Donnarumma) are simple: In order of T-Markt valuation: Antoine Semenyo Josko Gvardiol Marc Guéhi Jérémy Doku Rayan Cherki Rúben Dias Omar Marmoush (28 goals, 17 assists in only 3700 minutes in 2024/25 when he was healthy and he just turned 27yo 3 months back, so has 4 or 5 or so big seasons left I wager) Tijjani Reijnders Nico O'Reilly James Trafford

Who knows if this season out of the champions league is a blip or being in the Champions league itself was a blip Unless all these reporters are wrong about our finances being in the dumps and how we absolutely NEED to sell in order to buy, I do think we may be forced to sell one of our big stars this summer. Although, I don’t know how the UEFA sanction works now that we aren’t even in Europe. Does that mean we can spend more without worrying? Idk… 6 minutes ago, Vesper said: Rodri (post massive injury) and Foden (his collapse is similar to Palmer's) are both shadows of the players they were just a few seasons back. Not in their early to mid 20’s anyways. Foden to me just looks like a player who needs a change of scenery where he’s playing most games and involved all the time. See Grealish when he left the Pep straight jacket and went to Everton as a more “free” player. I’d gladly take a punt on Foden. As for Rodri, there has definitely been a very noticeable fall off since the bad injury. But in a team in desperate need of a leader and especially one who plays that deep midfield general role and only playing 1 match a week I’d take him in a heartbeat, too. You put him in there with the legs of Caicedo and others around him and I think he’s perfectly fine.
