So what now? Lavia? Surely it has to be him or are we just going to sit back and stroke our cocks and let them have him as well?

The fanbase is going off it on social media, Boehly and Co need to have something sorted and quickly or this will turn out very ugly.

Tyler Adams is a compromise option to show that we have taken someone and to show how incompetent  is this management to take someone of the caliber of Caicedo, Tchouameni  etc, so we take Adams from Leeds.
With such transfers, the top 4 is an impossible mission.

American clowns .

I feel that is too early to call, nothing is predictable in sports ... For me, it depends on how Poch handles things specially with the integration of the abundance of youth and how much time is he given to settle.

We need to realize one thing, that this would be the first time in many years in Chelsea's history there is a complete reset, people are either starting from 0 or from 1 (including the owners).

Perhaps too early.

But there is a past precedent for this sort of thing.

Chelsea is not a financial juggernaut like United to be able to afford spending time outside the limelight too long and have no effects. Abramovich realized this and that's why he was relentless in making sure the club stayed competitive if nothing else.

Regarding the reset - that excuse can be afforded to the club, not the new owners who practically started with the same squad, manager and administration that Abramovich had. No one forced them to change things so quickly. And yet, here we are.

Anyway that's an old topic that's well in the past.

I'm just looking to see what they do next after what they learned last seaon, and it still seems they have much more to learn.

The amount of times we've missed out on a player and people have acted like our season is done... It just keeps happening, and we come back and win titles.

Caceido wasn't on most peoples radar here even at the end of the season. Now he is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

110 million and you guys are complaining we didn't get him... Our team will be fine. Maybe we go back with another bid, but I'm fine if we don't. Either way - both him and Rice are massive overpays. Massive. Jude went for 115. Kane for 100. Better players than Caceido for less.

You don't just bend over backwards in business. They wanted 100m at the start and we didn't pay it? Good. He wasn't worth it then, he isn't worth it now. If we end up paying more - whatever - its too much but we live and fight another day either way.

Jacob Steinberg has reported we are not giving up and we are trying to beat Liverpool to Caicedo

Club briefing to make it look like we tried everything so our fans aren’t as angry.

It’s over. They’ve fucked it.

Lmao apparently scousers offered £111m + 30% sell on clause.

Either we get cucked delux by pool or we match that horrific deal.

Imagine if we just paid what Brighton wanted in the beginning. Would have been much cheaper..

Why do I feel he will still end up playing for us

He wont, get over it guys...not the end of the world

Club was doing the right thing offering 80-90mn odd on the higher side, he aint worth anything near 110mn (Its a massive overpay). He was the best option available but thats about it.

I wouldnt buy another makeshift DM right now, we should wait for the right oppurtunity/player (Someone like a Tchouameni might just become available later).

Also we need to stop transactions with Brighton with immediate effect, they got their way cause of silly Liverpool.

The club weren't doing the right thing because Brighton held firm on 100M from the off and we kept low balling with pointless bids that were never going to be accepted. If we had gone and offered the 100M this deal would of been done weeks ago, and we have fucked ourselves over royally here.

I keep saying it but forget the fee but look at how we have conducted ourselves in approach to this transfer, it is nothing short of pathetic. A big lesson should be learnt here, either match what they ask or don't waste time bidding

Club doesnt feel player is worth 100mn so they did not offer the same.

Had there been more alternatives around, Caicedo would have sold for 70mn at best.

By same logic if West Ham wants Gallagher and we keep asking 80mn for him, will West Ham pay the same. They will not go above 40mn.
