Another hit piece by DM who have been relentless since the club became up for sale.

And right before our first match.

Read through the article and you'll see it's all baseless speculation and conjecture.

The PL itself did a litmus test. What more needs to be said?

74 million euros, ie £62m for a left back not named Davies or Robertson (who is now in his last full sub 30yo season) or Theo

the most ever paid for a fullback in the history of football

only three before were even over £50m (Achraf Hakimi, João Cancelo, and Benjamin Mendy)

and that is on top of us spending the second most ever for a LB (Chilwell)

£107m for two left backs

wtf

My guess is the market for RWB was expensive. The club explored Kyle Walker Peters 30m + and Dumfries 30m + and decided that it is better off to continue with Azpi for another year. Allows to concentrate funds on Fofana + Livramento is an option next summer. He may be tempted to join knowing he and Reece could share gametime.

Don’t get me wrong I agree with what you are saying, I just don’t think the wages being offered is right. He is good cover and offers experience, but I don’t think it would of harmed us if he left this summer and that is why I am astonished about the wages.

Regarding Cucurella, the away shirt looks really nice on him.

Don't really see a need for Frenkie De Jong unless Jorginho leaves.

He's a good player but currently the midfield is stacked and there haven't been any rumors of players being sold so I don't see why we would be after FDJ?

Though it would be worth it just for the RedCafe meltdowns alone. 1330 pages and counting in their FDJ thread.

In the short term I agree but with Jorgi not getting any younger and potentially leaving next summer securing a long term replacement could be massive.
