No, Kane was who I meant in the first place and he's out for the rest of the season.

To put this another way, we're 6 point behind Spurs who still have a healthy Kane,  battered us at The Bridge a few weeks ago and still have us at home. We've just lost Kante for the season and our two signings are an unproven winger from Holland and a player Benfica were openly trying to get rid off. Would you give us a hope in hell of catching them?

United are a bit of a worry I'll give you that (although I'm not convinced Bruno is as good as the stats suggest) but if Spurs get top 4 then I will potentially reaccess my view on Jose's present day level, that's how unlikely/good an achievement I think it would be.

There's no point panic buying now, I've already said that Chelsea are likely to not sign anyone three weeks ago. If they were going to sign someone they should've had talks with clubs before January to prepare for the transfer window. I wished we signed world class players but our board are incredibly clueless and to sign someone now after all this time would just be a waste of money. 

I'm not trying to be pessimistic but I truly believe that we are not going to make the top 4 at the end of the season. There's nothing the board could do about it because it's too late, they've brought this on themselves.

Mourinho in his first season for any club manages to get to the top four. Say what you want about Tottenham but they have a better squad overall. I would be surprised if Tottenham does not end up making the top four, especially when they've signed decent players. I am Dutch and watch Eredivisie matches and what you're saying about Bergwijn is nonsensical. He is a very good player, with huge potential. Don't forget that the average league you're talking about produced some of the best players football has ever seen.

It's not the most ideal of situations because we do clearly need improvements to our team but I still agree with what appears to be the club's stance to keep our transfer budgets until the summer. We shouldn't be dictated to by what United and Spurs are doing.

It allows us to go into the summer in the strongest possible position financially to move for our top targets. And the idea that if we missed out on top 4 will mean we are left buying rubbish players is laughable. There are plenty of players who will be attainable in the summer that could improve and/or add something to our squad irrespective of Champions League football.

We need reinforcements, and if that secures top 4 then right now that's main aim, then I am all for it.

The fact this board are a bunch of complete clowns I do not trust them any longer never mind the summer to secure the so called top targets.

Oh and you can forget the Sancho's, elite strikers and quality wing backs coming here if we don't get top 4, it will be fill in players again.

Lozano was much more impressive for PSV last two seasons with better numbers than Bergwijn and look at him now? Tadic, Baker another examples...

All of them, and even if people think they are poor players or United/Spurs are crap, they are making signings to help their cause of top 4. They are taking action, so that if they don't they can say they gave it their best go.

You could call Bruno a panic buy, you could call Bergwijn a panic buy, you could also say Cavani would be a panic loan but it's doing as much as you can to achieve the most you can, and then come the summer build around those players to strengthen even more.
