Mário César 1,376
lets see but I think we need to pay a little bit more than other clubs to get him... lets see at least Kounde just has 23 years old. its young enough to, in the future provide us a good feed with a possible sale! Marvin123 539
Jules Kounde is very close to being transferred to Chelsea. Except for a radical change, the English club hopes that the agreement will be closed next week. Xavi spoke with the player and convinced him to go to Barça, but Chelsea bets more strongly. - @Manu_Sainz

Pizy 19,040
Lots of complaints about Koundé’s height here and elsewhere but United have just signed a genuinely tiny CB for £55m. Koundé looks gigantic compared to Lisandro Martinez.
MoroccanBlue 5,397
It makes more sense to prioritise Kounde over Kimpembe. Kounde will take that RCB spot and Koulibaly the LCB. mkh and DDA

Artandur 939
Kounde feels like another doomed pursuit anyways. Hope we don't waste too much time on him

And it would hopefully mean we never have to see Sarr in a Chelsea shirt again. Landing both would spell the end for Colwill., which would be shame, given that neither of those names belong to WC players.

I think in terms of the makeup of the defence he makes more sense currently than Kimpembe and I'd also be less worried about him playing centrally in a back 4 if it's alongside someone like Koulibaly. However it's still huge money what is being asked for both players. Part of me is hoping someone steps up in pre season like Trev did last year to make it less of a need to strengthen for Tuchel. Superblue 6,372
If we get a midfielder this summer it needs to be a genuine holding midfielder, not just someone who could play that role in a pinch like Kante and Kova 'could' do. Having someone like that would give Tuchel greater flexibility to use both 4 and 5 back formations depending on opposition and players he has available but also opens some players up to being potentially more helpful. Mount, Gallagher and RLC are all better suited to playing in an 8 role than in the pivot.
