Fulham Broadway 17,810 Posted yesterday at 12:17 Share Posted yesterday at 12:17 Clearly the lack of ambition in terms of buying so far, still lingering like a piece of shitted toilet paper stuck to a shoe. Then theres the lack of offloading - some could go to a Charity Shop eg Delap - one Premier League goal - two in 41 appearances in all competitions - and ended the campaign on a 26-game goal drought. A year ago, when he arrived at Stamford Bridge, he spoke about his ambition to make England's World Cup squad this summer. Theres delusional and theres completely hatstand. I think he’ll be a good GK in the future but we already have Penders so really was a non starter I think our name was thrown in there just to get the few extra millions from his previous club. mkh and kexik
Pizy 19,383
Even in the unlikely scenario in which Enzo stays we should still be going out and signing a top class midfielder as one of our priorities. We still don’t have the profile of deep sitting CM for the Xhaka/Jorginho role that Alonso uses that can start every match and control the tempo of the match. Andrey Santos could eventually become that but I don’t think he’s ready to be an every match starter for a top PL club who want to push at the top of the table. We need to sell Lavia, loan Essugo, and sign a string pulling CM who stitches the team together. kexik

Mário César 1,525
No chance PSG will pay what Chelsea are asking for him. They're already well covered in midfield. I don't see Manchester City going for him either, nor Maresca. Real Madrid would probably only be willing to offer players in exchange, but if they're going after Rodri as well, I doubt it. And the players involved would have to be willing to join Chelsea, which is difficult without Champions League football.

I haven't seen him, but Brentford is the new Brighton, definetly worth to keep an eye on who they sign, especially if they splash such big money on them. Vesper 31,181
Chelsea https://thedailybriefing.io/i/200596922/Chelsea Said El Mala has rejected a move to Brentford in a potentially significant transfer boost for Chelsea. (Florian Plettenberg) Chelsea are interested in signing Eintracht Frankfurt left-back Nathaniel Brown as a potential replacement if Marc Cucurella leaves Stamford Bridge this summer. (TEAMtalk) Another left-back on Chelsea’s radar is Alejandro Grimaldo from Xabi Alonso’s old club Bayer Leverkusen, but Barcelona are also in the mix for his signature. (TEAMtalk) Chelsea look ready to battle Liverpool to sign this relegated star - more info here!

Apparently his move to Brentford broke down because they didn't want to take his brother as part of the deal. https://talksport.com/football/4305763/brentford-said-el-mala-deal-fee-transfer-news/ Not sure how signing another young winger helps us...we still have Gittens from the Bundesliga who can't stay fit for 5 games. Maybe if Monaco comes in and saves us from Lavia like they did to Barcelona with Fati That Lille midfielder Bouaddi (not sure of spelling) is a talent but I don't see him picking us without European football next season. 😢
Pizy 19,383
Been watching some highlights of this Said El Mala guy. I’m just not impressed at all, really. Looks like he’d be yet another massive risk of a winger who will struggle with the huge step up. Doesn’t look close to the level of someone who starts for a top PL club. The Brentford link was sensible because that looks about his level. If this board is still dead set on whichever LW we target being another young player then that Mika Godts dude looks significantly more impressive than El Mala. But even he would be a super risky signing. Which after Mudryk, Garnacho, and Gittens we surely can’t do again. kexik
