I can't complain about us not getting into this. We can sign a better CB than Guehi for that money. mkh and OneMoSalah 1
Strike 7,680
City have signed Khusanov, Victor Reis, Nico González, Marmoush, Ait Nouri, Reijnders, Cherki, Trafford, Donnarumma, Semenyo, and now Guehi That's a whole XI of players in the last one year. And a majority of them are average. mkh
OneMoSalah 9,014
£20m for a player in his prime. Fuck the wages. Donnarumma & Guehi both 24-27 years old, lot of experience at the top level in the PL & internationally….. £55 million in total 🙄 Yet people still here questioning why we will never compete with the likes of City under BlueCo. 46 minutes ago, Strike said: 300k pw wages. Wages are wages but no doubt we’d of gotten some wiggle room. Even £200-250k. Players aren’t daft.
Mhsc 1,121
We're just not the club that is gonna sign a player on 300k a week now unless they're the second coming of Messi. It is what it is, this is mostly the impact of PSR, and City are known to be flat out cheating financially, what can you do.
DDA 10,113
Does Guehi play lego? He won’t be interested in coming here then. Vytis33 and Laylabelle
ZAPHOD2319 4,878
I do not trust the prices that Man City report for Haaland, Semenyo, and now Guei, all these prices are way under market value.

Why would Guehi accept 200-250k pw at Chelsea when City is coming in with a higher offer and have injuries at LCB to cover? We can sign a better CB with the same overhead costs of Guehi - 20m transfer fee and 300k wages (70-80m on a 5 year contract) - without blowing our wage structure. We can go for Murillo for example.
