We probably outplayed them, but we were still poor in many areas, not just lacking clinical finishing, but also not as threatening as we were when we faced PSG a few days ago And when we go up against other big teams last season, we tend to play even worse. Hopefully, we can manage it better in the upcoming season Edited July 18, 2025 by dimmas

You can’t have that when you barely know your teammates. This win against Psg will help a lot. I think we will have both good and bad periods throughout the season, but really hope to get more points of city, arsenal and liverpool, as well as them 3 points at Old Trafford. Vesper 31,037
Chelsea https://thedailybriefing.io/i/168546403/Chelsea Nicolas Jackson has emerged as a top target for Aston Villa, with his former manager Unai Emery keen to work with him again. (Dharmesh Sheth, Sky Sports) Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell is expected to become a top priority transfer target for newly-promoted Leeds United this summer. (Football Insider) Chelsea are eyeing Kim Min-jae from Bayern Munich this summer, with some talk of a possible swap deal between the two clubs becoming a serious option. (Tuttomercatoweb) Morgan Rogers to Chelsea could be one to watch as he’s now reportedly their top target for the rest of the summer, though Aston Villa want as much as £80m to let him go. Anyway, I get the feeling that we won’t be seeing any incomings for a while. Doesn’t seem as though we’re aggressively pursuing anyone at the moment. No hot rumors or links, just kind of a rehashing of names we have been loosely interested in before the window even opened. Seems to be full focus on outgoings for the time being. Special Juan 28,730
Still no Madueke announcement, but with his sale and Petrovic there is 70 odd million. One more attacker, but not Garnacho Fernando

Pizy 19,252
I feel like Rogers is probably completely unobtainable this summer. Villa are having a piss poor summer window as it stands and if they were to sell their new star talent their supporters would revolt. Especially as a club which has ambitions of breaking into the UCL places, you don’t do so by weakening yourself and strengthening a club that you’re competing with for those places. If he has a real breakout season and develops even further then I suspect Villa will be demanding Grealish money for him this time next year.
