I’d have been over the moon with us going for Maignan a year or two ago. But from everything I’ve read he has taken a big step back recently.

Guess the biggest shock though is that we may indeed be after a new keeper which is the last thing I expected.

even if maignan had a bad season I think its a reasonable risk to signing and offload sanchez. I prefer to bet on maignan and sell sanchez

Vitinha was 22 years old and all career in front of him to play better, this guy is 30 years old in a month and if last season is anything to go by he is on the decline. Should be targeting guys like Chevalier on the up.

Maignan if as expected should be relatively cheap,wouldnt be a bad option as a bridge player until Penders or one of our other young keepers is ready to take over.

I'd be more bothered if we had nothing coming through behind him.

Matt Law just done a brief, we are looking at Ekitike but want a versatile wide forward.....so for me Ekitike, Joao Pedro or even going back for Tel

I like Martinez but think he is Saudi bound, plus Maignan's wages at Milan fit well easier with our budgets as he is only on a reported 60k a week so even if we offer him 100k it' a huge wage boost to him and CL football again

I like Ekitike alot if used as a LF,that for me is his true position. Can fill in for CF when needs must but if is being chased for the latter only i'd prefer other options.

So Matt Law says in that article that the club still view Jackson as an out and out striker and not as a potential option out wide like some have suggested. If that is indeed the case then Ekitike make even less sense. 

Just go all out on a top wide player with that money, ffs.
