I fear our under 24 policy is going to cap us at the knees for this season until someone realises it's not a bad thing to have experience in the squad. We really miss This go in that respect, slowly we've bled those types of players out over the years. I understand the model wants Enzo to coach coach coach but Enzo is still learning himself.

There's no doubt it will. Over the last two windows, a number of potentially interesting bargains have been available that we didn't even considered, paired with whatever pay structure exists.

If this squad's potential is ever realised, we will stagnate for one or both of these reasons.

I'd say getting couple of players at 23-25 age band should be fine.

Boehly-co's worst signings have been the older players : Koulibaly, Sterling, Aubameyang

It was nice to dream that we were a top team again. Now reality check back to the reality.
Disasi , Tosin they are not Chelsea level how many more mistake they need to do some people to see that same as Jackson as main striker this guy needs at leats 5 opportunity to score 1 goal eventually come on this is not serious.
GK , CB , and proper ST thanks .

I think we all know that.

That's why many and even the coach was not seeing us in the title.

If anything we got to see how good Enzo did. And if we fix those positions you mention then we will be very good next season.

Let's see what the club does.

Under 24 policy?   In that case, Disasi and Tosin shouldn't be at the club 😄

We also had a relatively fit squad and players looking to prove a point earlier in the season...

Will be interesting to see if Maresca can coach his way out of this slump

I wonder if it’s even a slim possibility we go back in for Osimhen or if that ship has sailed. He’s got a set price now, right?

Personally I think it is extremely likely... Scouts have a big hard on for him. They'll at least want to feel out if there is a deal to be done, given they went to the last second trying to get it done on deadline day.

If he is still not willing to get sensible about salary then we should just leave him to rot tbh.

I am feeling more positive about the striker market now than I have in a while, more and more interesting number 9 opportunities have been emerging and we don't really have to let either Napoli or Osimhen bend us over - his stock and their position has never been weaker. Also he rejected a straight loan deal with us and then... took a straight loan deal elsewhere. Fuck around and find out etc.

Wages were the stumbling block first time around. Why on earth wouldn't it be 4 months later? Ship is sailed. Stinks of a poor attitude too.

Gyokeres or Delap for me.

True, the wages may be a no-go if he’s still asking for silly money. But I wonder how happy is is in Turkey playing in a league nobody cares about? He looks like he’s enjoying it well enough when I see clips of him scoring. But maybe he’d jump at the chance of coming to the PL if we tried again and lowered his demands? Who knows.

I’d love Delap. Especially after what we saw from him yesterday. But Ipswich would guarantee their relegation if they sold him next month and he doesn’t seem like the sort of lad who would abandon them.

But we BADLY need a striker with a totally different profile to Nico. I love the look of Guiu but he’s far too young and raw to be an important player in the league yet.

It seemed to be more of an issue with his agent, who he got rid of/replaced days after the majority of windows shut. He supposedly sealed his loan to Gala himself.

However, I don't see him leaving them midseason, which is of no help to us.

Changing my mind on Musiala. Think we desperately need another creative CAM.

Where's Felix off to?
