Leeds United and other Championship clubs are weighing up a move for Bashir Humphreys before deadline day.

Chelsea are believed to prefer the outright sale of the centre-back, who has been training with the club's loan group at Cobham before a potential move.

Exclusive: Alex Matos is nearing an exit from Chelsea. Most likely option currently is a permanent exit abroad. The 2 clubs leading the race are RC Lens and RC Strasbourg.

Lens is the players’ preferred destination, but they are yet to agree a fee with Chelsea.

This is what they do in baseball. Our owners are baseball owners.

Nah, in baseball the common thing is to trade a big haul of young prospects for a single superstar. I’m actually surprised we haven’t tried that yet! 🤣

Chelsea’s talks with Napoli over a possible deal for Victor Osimhen are progressing and there is a belief from sources that their asking price has dropped.

We’re definitely getting a striker bomb this week from a player we’ve never been linked to...

Is it Evan Fat by chance? Seriously, the Kid looks heavy esp for his age. Young Rooney?

Understand Chelsea will depending on Outgoings look at Signing a central Defender before the window Slams Shut

Club have monitored Murillo from Nottingham Forrest for a long time now but fee at this stage looks unlikely but one to keep an eye on late in window 🔵

We’d be stupid not to pick him up for £42m , especially as we’d be recouping a lot of it by selling a terrible footballer in Gallagher

The Gallagher deal collapsing with other player is only reason he’s in the picture: he wasn’t even a target until then. So yes it is stupid. Plus as keep saying - where does he play? As a 10? Nkunku is better and Cole is a good shout for there. Maresca’s winger stay high and wide to provide the width. He isn’t a natural winger so another poor fit given he tends to try and play in the pockets.

So wouldn't that render cole and neto surplus as well?

Not really, that actually suits Neto a lot as it allows him to isolate his fullback in 1 on 1s a lot more easier because usually with fullbacks tucked infield the opposite either wide man follows them creating those sort of passing opportunities for the winger or lets them go and we have another man in MF.

Cole also has shown he can do this role starting a lot wider but I do think we may see him more centrally eventually with Maresca if he implements this inverted fullbacks and wingers high and wide.

We will have 50+ games and injuries , the other options Mudryk and sterling suck too

This is what it comes down to for me. Would I rather see Sterling/Mudryk as options or João Felix? Felix BY FAR.

But at least one of those has to be sold because we really don’t have room for Felix as it stands.

I fully agree on Mudryk, but I'm not sure I see that much difference between (our) Sterling and Felix. They both seem to go hot and cold even within the same match. Felix is a lot younger tho, so there is always that hope he turns a corner.

Tbf, Felix is the more skillful player for sure... relies less on pace. Actually wish Felix were a bit quicker tbh.
