We won’t be flapping around towards deadline day after striking out on a bunch of players like a lot of other teams will be. If Arsenal are willing and able to match our financial package to Calafiori, and I don't see why they wouldn't be, then they have a lot of advantages over us regarding competing at the highest levels immediately. The only thing I see as a potential recruiting advantage for us is that he is likely to have a harder time earning minutes at Arsenal than with us. They have a much more settled, and more successful, CB partnership then we do. For good measure they also have good cover at left back. He can't realistically expect to be an automatic first choice at the Emirates, but such unexpectation would be reasonable if he moved to Stamford Bridge. Hucth I am fine with so long as the 25% sell on is correct. The problem for me is the buys. KDH is fine, but does he provide additional quality? Estevao and Kellyman are pure punts on 'talent', with Kellyman being particularly speculative. Guiu, is a good buy simply due to how low the fee and wages are reportedly. Tosin is ok as a free, but my Fulham mate has seriously worried me that he isn't that great at deafening, so not sure if he actually brings much to the table if my friend is to be believed.
