Supposedly price agreed, terms agreed, paying him more than Barcelona and Sevilla more in the transfer fee.

This all points to him holding on, if he wasn't this would of all be done yesterday and announced.

Sevilla want a bidding war. They are waiting out to see if Barca can better our offer.

Every transfer takes a couple of days to sort out all final details before any announcement takes place. And even then Chelsea seem to take a few more days before announcing anything, just look at the timelines for Sterling and Koulibaly deals.

The transfer fee with Sevilla was agreed only last night so I wouldn't panic yet. If we don't hear anything in the next two days about final contract terms accepted and a medical being planned, he's clearly holding out for Barca to match the offer. At the moment it's impossible to say one way or the other.

Don't think we need a DM... I really believe Ampadu can become a classy player in that position.

We need a striker a RW.

Let’s be honest the club will probably go for Rice next season but I think Ethan has overall better ability. He just needs to cut out the errors you can make errors like that as the midfielder in front of the defence

Can Kounde play striker?

I think the reason we are in for him as opposed to a more conventional cb is that we rely on our cbs to bring the ball through midfield. Due to having only 3 actual attackers in our 343, Rüdigers deep runs with the ball were vital to even get the ball into the channels without our AMs or wingbacks having to drop back.
that being said I still believe we need at least another ideally leftfooted/ambipedal AM who is fast and strong in 1 on 1 dribbles if we can not get a proper striker. Otherwise we will still be very predictable going forward
