Does Bayern really pay any of their players like that? My understanding is that most of their starting 11 are on fairly modest wages in the grand scheme

https://www.capology.com/club/bayern-munich/salaries/

this is what I found not sure how true

that links backs up what I said almost exactly (I said £327K PW, and of course the FOREX rate changes a wee bit daily)

Above I posted the breakdown which has gross pay and net pay after taxes he’s only on like £176k

Interestingly our squad wages are not bad. But Mason and Reece need improved deals asap.

we talk of gross pay here always, not net like La Liga

he is on, like I said, 327K PW gross

the entire time I have been here the standard delineations (as it should be) for all things fiduciary have been pounds sterling as the currency and then, for salaries, per week gross pay

the board will completely get into weeds if we start playing mix and match with currencies (especially when the type is not specified, like when a 90m figure is tossed out there, and is not labelled as euros, which is WAS,  so people start to think it is £90m, which is not the case at all)

and then also if we start talking NET pay, as each nation has different tax rates

Unless we are somehow now going for Osimhen (good luck atm with that after the poison dwarf had a meltdown with us buying KK) then not going HARD for Hugo (sounds like a gay porno, lolol) is just fucking dereliction of duty level madness. He has just crazy upside potential.

Well.. Hugos transfer has been confirmed by PSG now.

Just depressing. Could be the next big thing, but he will shine for someone else now.

welp

almost no CF's of quality left on the board now

one really

Victor Osimhen

the rest are never going to happen nows and drop downs and wild gambles

Harry Kane   never going to happen
Lautaro Martínez never going to happen this summer
Arnaut Danjuma  (listed as a CF, but is more of a winger or SS, probably would be my 2nd choice, but a true dice roll)
Jonathan David    (not sold on him, and he is more of an SS atm anyway)
Amine Gouiri    wild gamble

Patrik Schick  wild gamble
Gianluca Scamacca    wild gamble
Evanilson    wild gamble
Noah Okafor  wild gamble
Youssoufa Moukoko wild WILD gamble and is too young for the summer window, would have to be in January, after he turns 18 (thanks Brexit)

Yeah, it doesn’t look like we’re going to be getting another attacker. Which is pretty worrying.

What happens if Sterling picks up a freak injury in match week 3 or something and misses extended time? We’re down to the same super inconsistent attackers as last season.

Looks like our entire season may hinge on all of our attackers taking massive strides forward in their statistical output.

tuchel already said that after fixe defense problems Chelsea will focus in attack

well that was just CF's listed (some are not pure CF's either, like Danjuma and David)

there are still viable wingers out there (Jarrod Bowen for instance), and some who can play CF at times as well

a list of those

(Neymar and/or CR7 are not happening, nor should they)

But by then who will be available? It’s the right approach to take given our desperate need for CB’s, but the consequence of focusing all our attention there means that nearly all of the top class attacking talent has been scooped up already.

Unless we can work out some sort of deal with Milan that involves Ziyech I’m not seeing anyone that’s worthy of going to get. We may have to stick with what we have until January when someone may become available.

I think what Tuchel really desires with the signings this summer are players who are clear and obvious upgrades on what we already have. I think any attacking signing we potentially do now should be like Sterling. With the exception of Leão, I’m not sure you can say that any of those names in blue will for sure be better than Pulisic/Werner/CHO/Ziyech in a Chelsea shirt.

If West Ham weren’t such a pain in the ass to deal with I’d love to make a move for Bowen. But they’d probably demand £80m for him at the same time they’re trying to bid some derisory €30m for Broja.
