Superblue 6,372
Top priority has to be a left back in my opinion. Recent home games and again today just highlighted how one dimensional we can be when teams are defending deep. This isn't Lampard's fault, he's kicked us on from Sarri last season starting to have the lion's share of possession in most games but large parts in our own half or middle of the pitch, to now dominating both possession and territory. The problem we have with our personnel is that they all operate at their best centrally. Pulisic, Mount, CHO and Willian all like to drift inside where we already have the likes of Jorginho and Kovacic trying to operate. This would be fine if we had width from our full backs but we simply don't at present. Teams are defending deep and sending us wide and we don't have the players to damage teams here. Hopefully Reece James will tie up right back over the course of this season and kick on next with a year's experience, but we need someone on the other side so that we can stretch teams, get good quality into the box and overload teams then with our 3 or 4 attacking players. It would be great to get another attacking player into the side, but I don't see how things will change hugely without sorting out the width from our full backs. Unless we were able to bring in someone the equivalent of Hazard who could literally open up the tightest and deepest of defences with an absurd piece of magic. Gesendet von meinem SM-G920F mit Tapatalk I am sure there is something that can be written in, the entire thing would be similar to what we did with Pulisic I mean, sure, get him in here in January IF possible, but if a 6 month loan-back is the only way to get it done and dusted, then that is fine by me Atomiswave and killer1257

Styl1994 188
Would you sell Alonso and Emerson to raise the money for Chilwell probably get 60m for both of them and you could get Chilwell for at most a net spend of 10m in the summer. When Emerson got destroyed by Mahrez, Chelsea fans were Smashing him because in their Eyes Mahrez is a average guy (there were people here saying that ). Now, Chilwell got destroyed and he obviously is not good enough either. For me, Mahrez is a World class winger on his day. He reminds me a little bit of Ziyech with less creativity(even though Mahrez is actually Creative).I don't really see an available world class LB. We can only buy Talents and hope they get better over Time. For me, I would rather go for a right winger and CB. I don't think that Zouma and Rüdiger work well in Franks system. They are the worst ball playing defenders you could have in your Team. Also would Batshuayi not be more interesting to them in a swap deal?

Auba is never going back to Dortmund for a host of reasons Don't think so because time in Scotland doesn't count towards it IIRC. He was at Fulham for 4 years (12-16), so I think he'd classify as HG . NikkiCFC

Yeah smart move selling 2 LBs to sign only one. No thanks. One LB out after getting a better one in yes 100% but not any other way. 23 minutes ago, Nicco said: Same person reporting about Aubameyang wanting to leave Attitude being questioned, missing training, being fined, late for team meetings.... yeah sounds very promising. For somewhere in the region of 120m+ I would definitely say that is too much for a player who has been deliberately acting up the last half a season to get a move. Lampard has established an incredibly strict fine list here to encourage discipline and focus among the group. Somebody who has had huge discipline and commitment issues in the last 6 months isnt exactly the most ideal addition. Did Pulisic kick up such a fuss to move here last year? Did he get fines, miss meetings etc for half a season? The talent is important but also the attitude and dedication. This season has shown a light on a side to Sancho that makes me wonder is he worth that extravagant fee if he comes with all that.

Got dropped a couple of times because of disciplinary issues, for example.
