Tbf there were several people on here where saying City’s treble was tainted due to financial breaches and whatnot a few weeks ago and are now in absolute shock that other fan bases have the audacity to accuse us of having dodgy Saudi links because of PIF and Clearlake, although I’m pretty sure it was common knowledge prior to the takeover…..

Have to be careful of how these dealings go, I do get the feeling that perhaps down the line this connection could be one that is further investigated by some of the footballing authorities. Not sure what they find but ultimately, think folk should focus on what happens on the pitch a bit more than off it, particularly in regards to these links for us and City last season. Or Newcastle. Or Man United.

A amidst all of this FFP controversy, its seems we didn't breach anything. Sold enough players to even get above breaking even for the 2019-2022 years. (United and Barcelona have been fined for breaching.)

To add insult to injury to those wishing for our demise, UEFA has gone and praised the club and that we should be the example for other clubs to aspire to.

Standard practice in acquisitions to include a clause that protects new owners against things like this - probably Roman is footing that bill out of what he was paid for the club. Usually a decent amount of £ is held back from payment for a period of time to allow the new owners to find problems like this and take some of that money back to settle problems.

Club fined more than £8.6million by UEFA for breaking Financial Fair Play rules under previous owner Roman Abramovich.

UEFA announced on Friday that Chelsea submitted ‘incomplete financial information’ between 2012 and 2019 while Abramovich was still at the helm.

Nice little earner for UEFA

No CL which is over 100m per season. And now in this situation we do not have a main sponsor which is another 40m. How can we afford this loss?

Ig by making a profit on the transfer market and reducing the wage bill. So far, we reduced the wage bill by about 55 million pounds, with another potential 38m on the cards.

Also, we will have a shirt sponsor soon I think. At least we are in talks I heard.
