Professional job done, killing the game in the first 20 minutes.

Fair play to Chesterfield they never crumbled and whilst it would have been nice to get a clean sheet, I don't begrudge them their moment scoring.

Tuchel got the balance right in my opinion. Strong enough to win the game without concern but in doing so was also able to rest some key players and also split game time across others. His respect for this game though is pleasing to see as I think whilst he is here, we'll give maximum respect to the cup competitions we are in and attempt to win them. For all that Klopp has done in his time at Liverpool they've won a couple of big trophies but not hauled in as much as they perhaps should have. I think the domestic cups Klopp has for the most part dismissed in his time in England, which is something I wouldn't want to see from Tuchel.

Guess Tuchel's strong line-up paid off. Made sure there was no fuck-up and could just coast through the game after 20 minutes.

Hall very impressive on his debut and watching from the TV, he looks a tad similar to Werner. lol

Shame no clean sheet but a moment for Chesterfield to remember, I suppose.

Shouldn’t we want Kepa to start here? Needs all the reps he can get so he’s at his sharpest while Mendy is out.

A bit late to the party here but it absolutely was the right call to give Bettenelli 90 minutes under his belt.

We're Kepa catching Covid away from him having to face City or Spurs.

he was great in preseason, shocked some lower level team doesn't buy him, he is hardly a shit plyer, could start for a team like Norwich or Watford

Can't find a side willing to match or come close to his current wage and he's not ready to give it up perhaps?

Not a fan but I hope he finds a good move somewhere.

Good point. Didn’t think of that.

I hope they win promotion back into the Football League. Super fan base (they had over 20,000 ticket requests!!!), great little club.

Sold out the whole shed end. Glad they scored...and it was given the reception from both them and the Chelsea fans in the stadium it deserved. They just went for it

Chelsea:Plymouth next round.

As it happens I've watched Plymouth a few times a season and they are a very good team at League One level, they also play with wingbacks and have a very modern approach so it won't be an attack vs defense game.

Their young keeper Michael Cooper i personally believe will be playing for England eventually and he most certainly will be the prem sooner rather than later. Very good shot stopping and excellent distribution under pressure.
