I still don't get why he even came back. clearly not in shape to be a professional footbaler anymore. everytime he touches the ball it is a turnover. embarrassing.

He did score at Old Trafford, but then that was a rare highlight

is he better than Solanke would be ?

I made a point about that. If this Drogba is a better player than Solanke and a better third option next season, he's not a very big talent. At least, not the level that has a chance of breaking through at Chelsea.

If that was Torres it would still be a goal so don't know your point.

your point was experience. yes experience is that important.

solanke is a kid. remember a certain bruma who played for us? remember his one mistake literally ruining his chelsea career. this is the match for champions. for people who have done and can do it. if solanke has a poor match and we dont win, the same hopeless moaners like you and zolayes would be ripping the kid and jose off.

so yes, right now, its a lot about expeience.

I have to agree with you about the whole Bruma thing that Solanke could have had if we lost tonight if he played and say had a stinker but Didier ideally not good enough for the Chelsea squad, never mind experience someone like Charlie Austin or Danny Ings or someone else would be a better option.

Think tonight when you see us without a CF like Costa or Remy, especially in the first half you see how there is no width as Hazard and Willian are coming inside more and the fullbacks not as high as they could be. Drogba's not fast enough to run the channels anymore. Costa and Remy really do that well move into those spaces like Vardy done at times and even make the same run between our center halves to create the assist for the Leicester goal, which isn't necessarily always an issue for us but the running into the channels was in the first half.

no doubt about it. i was very careful not to say that DD should be here next season. in simple words he should not.

Solanke is definitely one of the biggest talents from our academy.

I'm not disputing that. But a talent that has any chance of breaking through at Chelsea has to be absolutely incredible. I'm talking teen Fabregas level. Otherwise, I don't see Mourinho giving him the time he needs to develop. And you need to play to develop. A few 3 min cameos doesn't get you anywhere.

It can give them the taste of what it would be like playing in the first team and I think Mou thinks that too which is why he has spread the appearances around with the youth player's instead of putting his eggs in one basket.

Also I do think he is genuine when he said he wants to bring the player's through, take against Marinbor, the best short term solution would have been to give Salah the 20 minutes to build up his match fitness but instead gave the time to Solanke.
