Mount is still the same Mount from at least a season ago though.

I think you are actually watching 19/20 season instead of this one. He has gone on another level this season. Most of my friends who were skeptical about him last season and are supporters of rival clubs even acknowledge he is a top player and they were wrong about questioning him. Several pundits have him in their team of the season, LOL. He is a nailed on starter for Lamps, Tuchel, Southgate most likely too. What is that all these pundits and managers are seeing differently eh?

Jesus is that ex Man United boy still playing? I thought he would be about 35 by now, only 27 wow 🤣 ironically he also played for Wigan like our Reece James.

Damn that was painful. Every attack he got involved in died the moment he got the ball. Expect him to bounce back but it is clear why we pursue hakimi. RJ is too conservative and slow to make a decision at times, especially vs low blocks that dont allow him to cross or run in behind.

It is why I have always felt he would end up as a DM/RCB. Not quick or tricky enough to play WB. Maybe if we switch back to a 4 he can play RB but his attacking game is too limited outside of his crossing.

I don’t think his pace is an issue at all. He looks slow bc he seldom attempts those sprints but when he wants to he is rapid. Remember city away? Benjamin Mendy is not a slow player but RJ completely blew him out of the water 3 times. I think it comes more down to attitude
