lucashm 340
Have to say something though, he looked like an absolute boss with that long sleeved shirt. Still cant get over how beautiful our new kit is Chelsea?

But considering the circumstances, I'm just happy he made it through the full 90 unscathed. Indeed. Just imagine once he's fully fit! Could end up doing Kante-esque crazy things. Popular Post! zakhov 253 Posted August 20, 2017 Popular Post! Share Posted August 20, 2017 To be honest most of the free-kicks he looked to have give away looked soft. The one where he barely puts his arms around Alli and all Alli had to do was flop around and give Taylor his puppy dog eyes. Dimitr 488
Very good performance, unfit but was a monster. I love his power . Without injuries he will be A MONSTER. War machine. lets forget Matic .

Pizy 18,913
Thankfully we don't play sides who press like maniacs every week so Baka will now have a couple of games where we'll likely have the lions share of the ball and he can have some time and space in possession. King11Didier 916
Really tough game for debut and also considering he is not fully fit, he actually did ok. I would love to see him play when he is 100% fit and get along with Conte's style.
robsblubot 3,595
Great play considering the situation. just feel he's more of a Kante type of player than a fabregas and what we need is a player like fabregas with a bit more physique and athleticism. Someone like RLC apparently... a bit worried, not only about depth but also balance of the squad. competitive for the pl but not CL imo. BlueLion. 21,491
50% fit Bakayoko > fully-fit Matic. Have we resurrected Michael Essien?
Blusan Alamb 295
Bakayoko rusty but showed a lot of grit. Can not wait to see him against Everton.
akgw13 867
Loved the effort by him, to play a full 90' against tottenham away while not being fully fit is mental. Without him we would have had no chance to win. That is the type of effort and dedication we need that lifts up the others, if he can run and fight why cant you. I am so excited to see him get fully fit and develop with Kante. We saw a small bit of what he can truly offer with some of those runs and challenges. I am very excited. So far Morata/Baka/Rudiger all look like great buys and fit with how we want to be as a club.
nyikolajevics 2,700
He is pretty much like I thought he's gonna be: - won more aerials yesterday than Matic in a whole season - he is a beast, strong as hell and not scared to bump into opponents unlike Matic - got some sweet attacking skills. It was a great frist game of him considering that he was injured for 3-4 months and only has been training with the team for a week or so. Great job, can't wait to see him at his best condition. Popular Post! kmk108 1,186 Posted August 22, 2017 Popular Post! Share Posted August 22, 2017 Drogba told Bakayoko how important the Spurs match was, so he went to Conte and told him he wanted to play. "It says a lot about the mentality of Bakayoko that he opted to play when clearly lacking fitness. Not a single person at the club expected Bakayoko to start against Tottenham: the logical thinking was that he could potentially make the bench. He was still a week or two from being in consideration to start. However, Bakayoko approached the manager during the week and told him that he wanted to play despite the numerous medical reasons telling him to wait. A source at the club confirmed that Conte was taken aback by the gesture. Bakayoko essentially told the manager “if you need me, I will run for 90 minutes and worry about it later”. Not many players willingly put themselves in that sort of situation; particularly when the opponent is both as good and as physical as this Tottenham side. A certain Ivorian idol of Bakayoko’s reportedly telling him the meaning of this fixture unquestionably helped." Duppy Conqueror 1,537
I have never bothered to compare `Yoko and Matic..and am not going to now,all I know is `yoko alone for that DM spot bothers me if we want to play 60 plus games this season and challenge for silverwear. I`m sure he`ll be fine for the games he plays in but wouldn`t put it past our rivals to target his legs in contests between us,knowing that it will knock us out of the race if we lost him for any significant time with what we have behind. Matic may have wanted to leave but we could have held onto him until a replacement was found.or atleast held onto Pasalic. Kante and Fabregas are great at what they do best but as a combo they are about as suitable as gravy and fish.
