Still think he ends up at Liverpool despite Klopp's words. While I'd love him here, I just can't see a scenario now where Cahill is dropped any time soon.

The club has never cared about 'creativity'...thats why natural talents like KdB & Mata were sold off in favor of the 'hard-working' type e.g. Oscar and Willian.

I really wish we had gone after someone like James Rodriguez as we need a second player capable of creating goals out of nothing.   Bayern already have 4-5 of the creative type yet they wasted no time adding to their firepower up front.

yup and according to the sun (I know..), liverpool have given up their chase for him altogether, we basically have a free shot at him. He's still not training with the Southampton squad as far as I know so it seems there's no reason we shouldn't get him... I like Cahill a lot for his character, big goals in big moments, that he's British etc but VVD is a class above IMO.

Our board is dumb. Why buy rudiger if u still want this guy? It's like they're actively wasting money on positions we don't need. At the same time doing their best to destroy youth development. I honestly think I'd do a better job than whoever's in charge right now.

The part of his statement where he says "if interest from to clubs still exists" is basically a come and get me plea to Liverpool. I think he'd be a beast there so I really hope he doesn't go to them.

I wouldn't say he implicates only for LFC. We were interested in him 2 months ago but didn't want to pay £70m. Interesting stuff you could read between the lines last couple of weeks one and of them we never left the table actually just waiting for the right moment and them to cut the price. I would be more scared if he goes to City.
