I understand there is still 3 yrs left but honestly in today's world and specially with how we do business ... a big offer along with the player saying I want to go means he is gone. For me part of renewing the contract is that he deserves a rise now with him being one of the best. 

Doesnt matter who comes in (they surely will) but I would not want Kante to leave for the next few years because he is the spine of the team. And building one ... we know how it is.

Kante is such a humble guy.
I know people will disagree, but to me he is Chelsea's most valuable player.

Kante is the player who should be top earner. A model professional who nev speaks bs in the press and always gives his all on the pitch. Him  arbing most would  drive greedy players to display the same commitment. And we should do it now not wait until Paris comes knocking bc so he feels how much we appreciate him.

Mixed performance yesterday but the guy just deserves to be on the winning side, never mind being a key part of it. Absolutely outstanding achievement and its testament to the trajectory of his career as well, even Giroud who like Kante played in the lower divisions of French football, an amazing achievement. Just shows that hard work is vitally as important as talent and even looking at Pogba for France he is 10 times the player for them than United and I think its almost purely because of Kante. Can't wait to see him with Jorginho as well, also I think Sarri like Conte did, will get him to improve even more with the ball. The £30M or whatever he cost, was an absolute bargain.
