If the price is only 5 million, am sure there are takers somewhere out there. The wages would then be the issue and that's down to the player on whether he wants just to keep wandering around or go to somewhere and settle down for good.

Well I hope you're right but I don't see it.

He had the option to go to Bruges, play in the CL and win Belgian league titles but apparently that wasn't good enough. So, I am not sure he'll be willing to go anywhere were that would be a possibility. No mid to top half team in Spain, England, Italy, France or Germany are going to take him as his stats can't hide the fact he is a poor player anymore.

His contract expires this season. I hope this board doesn't do something stupid and renew this guy's contract. Get him off our wage bill permanently.

But thank you for scoring the winning goal at West Brom for our latest title.

Can't wait for 2022 when 3-4 more deadwood are outta here.

Not this season. You missed his extension before Palace move?

'Send Lukaku back': Some Chelsea fans jokingly react after Michy Batshuayi scores five goals yesterday

https://www.thechelseachronicle.com/club-news/send-lukaku-back-to-inter-some-Chelsea-fans-jokingly-react-to-forwards-display-yesterday/

Chelsea supporters on social media took a light-hearted approach to Michy Batshuayi’s five-goal haul against Weymouth on Sunday afternoon.

Thomas Tuchel’s team hosted the non-league side at Cobham in a behind closed doors friendly yesterday, handing several of his first-teamers some well-needed minutes.

The likes of Thiago Silva, Reece James, Ben Chilwell, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ethan Ampadu and Emerson Palmieri all featured.

Tuchel’s side certainly enjoyed the outing, as they scored 13 times past their guests.

Ross Barkley hit a hattrick, Hudson-Odoi bagged a brace, but the lion’s share of the spoils went to Batshuayi.

He netted on five occasions, which is three more than he managed in the entirety of last season.

Following the arrival of Romelu Lukaku, the 27-year-old looks surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.

However, Chelsea fans humorously said they didn’t need Lukaku now Batshuayi has found his shooting boots.

Here’s how they reacted on Twitter:

We are actually going to extend his contract again? 😢

Probably board expect him to do a Sörloth. He was a 9 million flop for Crystal Palace, then they loaned him out to Turkey(Trabzonspor) where he had a good season and CP sold him to RB Leipzig for 20 million - where he flopped again.

Michy Batshuayi: Chelsea forward signs contract extension but joins Besiktas on loan

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/58257446

Forward Michy Batshuayi has joined Turkish side Besiktas on loan until the end of the season after extending his contract with Chelsea until 2023.

It is the 27-year-old's fifth loan spell since joining the Blues in 2016.

Batshuayi has previously had stints with Borussia Dortmund, Valencia and two spells at Crystal Palace, where he scored two goals in 18 league appearances last season.

The Belgian has not featured for Chelsea since February 2020.

Turkish side Besiktas won the 2020-21 Super Lig and will feature in the Champions League.

Since arriving at Stamford Bridge from Marseille for £33m, Batshuayi has scored 25 goals in 77 appearances for the Blues.

He scored six goals under Frank Lampard in the 2019-20 season but with Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud in fine form that season he struggled for opportunities.

He helped Chelsea to win the Premier League in 2016-17, his debut season.

The move comes as Romelu Lukaku returns to the Blues and Abraham departs for Roma.

Chelsea man “often irritates his teammates” – Lack of understanding impacts others

http://sportwitness.co.uk/often-irritates-Chelsea-man-criticised-obsession-improve-states-make-teammates-play-less-well/

Batshuayi, Beşiktaş için geldi - Sporx Galeri

Chelsea have had four managers since the start of 2016/17 season and Michy Batshuayi has struggled to impress all of them.

The situation has forced the Blues to send him out on loan since 2018 and in August, the west London club extended his contract and allowed him to join Besiktas on a temporary deal.

On September 8th, Het Belang van Limburg reported the 27-year-old has been ‘undergoing sporting agony’ since joining Chelsea in 2016.

In the absence of Romelu Lukaku, suspended for Belgium’s World Cup qualifier against Belarus, Roberto Martínez started Batshuayi on Wednesday.

Former Newcastle United defender Philippe Albert, who represented Belgium between 1987 and 1997, was critical about the Chelsea owned player. He is of the belief Batshuayi’s presence on the pitch hinders the team.

“The new Besiktas striker is of good will but he often irritates his teammates by not understanding the others, which makes them all play less well,” Albert was quoted as saying by Foot Mercato.

“And his obsession with increasing his crazy stats (22 goals in 37 caps) in the national team hurts the fluidity of the Belgian game. Hopefully his season in Turkey will do him some good because we might have a real problem.

“Given his mind-blowing personal stats for the national team, Batshuayi is always a highly anticipated forward when he steps up for the game. Against Belarus, it was more difficult than expected, despite a cancelled goal and two clear chances.”

Albert is of the belief Besiktas are the right club for the Belgium international and has urged him to regain his best version during his loan stay in Turkey.

He must rebuild his confidence in Turkey, where Besiktas offer him a golden opportunity to get back on track after five years traveling on the bench where he has never managed to win. Once he stacks up a few goals on the shores of the Bosphorus, things will be better for him, you’ll see, he added.

Hopefully nothing bad happens to him in terms of injuries between now and the Nations League Final Four or the World Cup in Qatar.
