Kun Aguer0 36
Why, just why he was on the pitch until 80th minute! Poor absolutely poor performance from him, missing chances again, weak, losing all duels... He shouldn't play today

Vesper 30,185
Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham suffers fresh ankle injury as he pulls up in the cool down after Champions League drubbing by Bayern Munich https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8048331/Chelseas-Tammy-Abraham-suffers-fresh-ankle-injury-pulls-cool-Bayern-clash.html Tammy Abraham is facing a fresh spell on the sidelines after aggravating his recent ankle injury to heap more stress on Chelsea manager Frank Lampard. Lampard is in the midst of his toughest period since returning to Stamford Bridge as boss in the summer but retains the backing of club chiefs, though a failure to qualify for next season's Champions League could make him vulnerable. And his concerns mounted yesterday as it emerged Abraham pulled up during the cool-down after Tuesday's 3-0 Champions League loss to Bayern Munich complaining of discomfort in his ankle. snip jesus fucking christ!!!! what the fuck is wrong with our health??????? Ffs if he is pulling up in a cool down, surely he clearly wasnt fit or recovered enough to be playing or in the squad? I mean he has rarely had a history of injuries either in his career. We are turning into Arsenal with these constant injuries and its only happened since this summer. Not sure what is happening behind closed doors but weve never had this problem with huge amounts of recurring injuries with multiple players in a season as far as I can remember. Throughout points of the season Emerson, Rudiger, Kante and now Tammy have been injured, came back then gotten injured again within a short time. Throw in Pulisic who has had his own problems, Pedro has been out this season, Callum was out (meant to be close to coming back though) and Kante being injured again too with a different issue now. Something needs to be looked at. Vesper, BXL70, manpe and 1 other

Why wasn't Giroud used until he absolutely had to be used? OneMoSalah, Vesper and BXL70

He has 35 games at this back this season. 30 years old Immobile has 32 for Lazio. Mane has 34 for Liverpool. Lampard deserves a lot of criticism, but flogging players to death is not one of them. Jase 43,479
Lampard on Abraham's injury... https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/feb/28/chelsea-prescribe-rest-for-tammy-abrahams-troublesome-ankle “Tammy is not active for the next couple of days,” Lampard said. “How long is he going to be out? I don’t know. The inflammation is causing pain, so we are looking at ways to get rid of it. Could surgery be an option? As far as I know, no. It’s certainly not been mentioned. “It’s a month later [from the Arsenal game] and we’re still talking about it so it’s been a frustrating one. We have seen him come back and then go away again. Sometimes things that are [to do with] pain threshold are like that. If he is not comfortable, he has to come out for a few days at least and see where it is going.”

Maybe hasnt flogged Abraham or maybe he has but regardless, as weve seen with Kante, Emerson and Rudiger earlied this season hes probably put him back in far too soon. And again, it has come back to bite us. 16 minutes ago, Jason said: Lampard on Abraham's injury... https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/feb/28/chelsea-prescribe-rest-for-tammy-abrahams-troublesome-ankle "It’s a month later [from the Arsenal game] and we’re still talking about it so it’s been a frustrating one. If he constantly needed pain injections or whatever and was playing through pain for the last month? These things never end up well and always aggravate or end up in a longer spell out. We are already short in numbers in other positions and options upfront so for him to now be coming out with this when he has played Tammy in over 130 minutes since that Arsenal game, where he picked up this problem, its just stupidity. Careless handling of a younger player, just let the guy heal up and play him when he is 100%.... even if he isnt completely happy about it. Why risk it in a position where he knows we need quality in too? Just seems daft. Even more so when you see him select Batshuayi and how pathetically he does but I am glad FL has seemed to be forced to go with Giroud more recently, one way or another (although I wish it wasnt due to Tammy having an injury). As mentioned countless times, Kante, Emerson and Rudiger were rushed back this season and look how that panned out. He hasnt learned that sometimes you need to let guys heal properly when theyve suffered certain types of injuries, obviously, or he would be more cautious. Lets just hope we dont get any more because with Callum, Kante and Pulisic still out we really cant afford any more. Big part of the season coming up now for us and having all our better playsrs fit is only going to benefit us.

That's fair enough, Tammy is entitled to negotiate the best deal he can get. I hope however that the club won't allow itself to overspend on the wages of our youngsters just because they are our youngsters. Pay them what they're worth for sure, but we still have to use the budget wisely. 11Drogba, Johnnyeye, Strike and 2 others
