26 March 2015 saw captain John Terry sign a new contract keeping the legendary defender amongst our ranks until the end of 2016.

Terry's performances have been nothing short of exceptional this season, with his consistency serving as a perfect example for upcoming talents like Kurt Zouma. Mourinho was quick to point out that the new contract - offered as a result of these performances - was not to say "thank you" to Terry but offered because he is still an exceptional centre-back, one of if not the best in the Premier League. Whatever happens next season, or the end of this season mind, we will all look forward to seeing Terry wearing the Royal Blue he holds so proudly and dear to him.

Get in!! Totally deserved. Should take him past 700 Chelsea appearances, injury permitting. Staggering achievement.

Captain. Leader. Legend.

He needs another 47. Fingers crossed he keeps up his levels of performance in the off season and into next :).
