Bakayoko didn't justify being selected tonight, not one bit, and the fact he was allowed to stay on is something I would question Conte on..... Conte sees them in training week in, week out. Drinkwater is a solid player but nothing more. Conte probably sees way more upside in Bakayoko playing, acclimating himself to the team and the English game, than playing a Drinkwater who doesn’t really add anything to the team either. He might not be a lot more like you say, but right now he's a hell of a lot more effective than that fucking fraud Bakayoko. If acclimatising is lauding around a football field not being able to control a ball, giving the ball away and having no positional discipline then I suggest Drinkwater starts every game ahead of him from now on. Bakayoko is a liability right now. The Chels, Mufassir08 and Unionjack

I agree to the fact that Bakayoko has been extremely poor in general, but there have been tons of top players who made a very bad start to their careers at top clubs. I prefer to give Bakayoko some time (that’s the situation now, obviously we expected more), and I think Conte feels the same. He obviously believes in him enough to start him over Drinkwater who’ll just always be a decent player but nothing more.
Henrique 9,133
Day after day Conte is showing he is not that different from Mourinho. After the Premier League glory he showed his true colors. Creating crisis during the off season: check. Using the same formation game after game: check Starting war of words against other managers: check. However, if he constantly changes formation and it leads to inconsistent results etc, wouldn't you be sitting here and complaining about it? "Starting war of words against other managers" The only time(s) he's criticized other managers is when others speak about him/us. Have you seen him start a verbal war with Wenger, Guardiola, Pochettino or Klopp for no reason? I prefer my club manager to not get into that and focus on getting results and performances from the players but at the same time, if others start to have a go at us, I also want to see my manager fight back and not be a sitting duck. Would you really be happy if others start to criticize us and the manager do nothing to defend us? Popular Post! petre.ispirescu 4,928 Posted January 8, 2018 Popular Post! Share Posted January 8, 2018 Can't help but laugh reading the RedCafe threads - the people that few years ago would destroy Mourinho for every word he would say, now are making a hero out of him. They say Conte is an idiot for biting the bait as Mourinho did not even mention his name, but who else did Mourinho refer to for Christ's sake??? Chris Hughton? David Wagner? Of course not... It was Conte all the time and this is not fresh news and Mourinho keeps spouting shit about Chelsea and Conte for one and a half year now. But Conte never said a thing in response in one and a half year and now when he takes action he is somehow deemed as a fool. Like Mourinho should be the only one making allegations and if somebody replies then he is an idiot for letting himself dragged into Mourinho's mind games. But if somebody does not reply to him either then he is considered a pussy and Mourinho gets all the plaudits for being that clever that nobody can't stand in front of his words. Finally there is somebody that can take Mourinho to his game and speaks the fan's mind. I truly have waited for so long for somebody to call Mourinho a senile git because this is what he is now. He basically did nothing of what you mentioned. What war has he STARTED? Miki-Liki, Despiadado.Maleante and 11Drogba

King11Didier 916
Maybe because Cahill and Luiz needs replacement. VVD is a monster and would have been a massive upgrade for our team. I didn't read the article above, but it won't be a surprise if Conte wanted him in the summer, even before getting Rudiger in the team. MrExcalibur100 7,124
Fucking awful. He's becoming increasingly clueless with his decision making and the tedious football. Can't continue to make excuses about missing out on targets. With the players we have we have to be doing better than that.
