Espically when its just pass...pass..pass...pass...oh look we lost the ball and they just scored woops! Oh well it was good to watch while it lasted

Even worse when the opposition try taking the moral ground, like in 2009-2010, we battered Arsenal twice with great defense and brutal counter attacking football, they hardly create a chance of real note in 180 minutes, but were trying to claim the moral victory because they played more short passes and triangles

I think the supposed "attractive game" is over-rated. Arsenal back in 2009 and Barcelona for me aren't even pleasing on the eye to me, i think passing the ball around in traingles isn't that good to watch and personally i love watching teams who will force opponents into submission (Chelsea 2005-2010, Madrid).

I hate this perception of good football, there's a lot more ways of good football than just tika taka.

Personaly I dont like Barca either, but Bayern last season is example of how world class football team plays. Direct offensive football with fight to score as many goals as possible. They scored 3/4/5 goals per game on regular basis. And yes tiki taka is shit, but Bayern last year or Real Madrid in 2000s is what we should try to play. I remember that Bayern multiple problems couple seasons ago, but they improved and didnt spend realy big, I hope we can do the same.

Keep the faith, have patience. One bad result does not make a season. We are lucky to have the second coming of the Best manager in the world. In terms of entertainment I preferred Ancelottis style of play. Lets look objectively when we are 10 games in. AVB is a chronic underachiever who talks about style of football over substance.

What are all this shit spraying on here. Think about it if all 20 shot was on target you then be smiling right. I will kill who bash this man his not the one who miss those shot, what I expect is you guys talking on how he could talk them through on hitting the target and you think avb is better and his making wrong decisions?? I bet you all enjoy the match but was not happy with the lack of goals but seriously that a good match apart for the not scoring thing but some of you who saw man-u game know if we played like that you will shoot the sun down that game is shit but they scored that the difference............. I love the action on the game and want snipers to do their work at best

Welcome to the overreaction thread. What happened to loyalty? Pre-Abramovich we were never a win every game team, you never knew what you were going to get. If we get two decent results in the London derbies people will forger Everton. Still a team in transition.

This. sadly too much success has made us forget our past. Even though we did have a chance, that sentence is something people need to keep in mind.

I disagree. The first two years of Barcelona under Guardiola was a beauty. I agree there is more way of good football than tiki taka but for me except Inter who was a super display of defensive intelligence, I'm not a great fan of Mourinho's brand of football.

I prefer pro-active football than reactive football, And I like triangle passing, pattern of runs, methodical build-up to create space as it needs a lot of work to perfect the spacing, the timing of the runs to mess the opposition defense.

I didn't really expect the "Jose OUT" campaign to start so soon ,,,,another month and it will be "We want Rodgers or Martinez or BRING BACK RAFA"

I'm in the "we should have kept Rafa". As we only needed three signings, two in midfield, a striker to be champion this year.

Luke Shaw the year after to have a good balanced team with depth with the loanees back.

Totally agree mate. We'll play worse than that this season and win! Do some people on here want us to sack Jose?

They were back in the first two years yeah, but as their reliance on Messi goes up, the less good they are to watch, imo.

I don't have a problem with teams that want to play that way, if they like tika taka then that way should be respected, what annoy's me is when those teams look their noses down at teams that don't play the same way or similar. Like for example, the way Arsenal fans use to look their noses down at Stoke.

I wonder if he's the manager this squad needs?

I dont doubt mourinho as a coach, he's one of the best out there but i do wonder if he fits our squad?

With the likes of mata/ hazard, they both seems lost on the pitch with annoys me to be fair

We bought players over the past seasons for attractive attacking football, thats not realy he's style isnt it?

I think part of the issue here is that the expectations from Jose are just too high. I'm not making excuses for him, believe me I have my criticism of him for some of the choices he's made so far, but I just think that his return was so emotional and it was built up so much by everyone that some expecting Jose to be able to instantly turn water (a group of young talented players with great potential) into wine (a cohesive team with players performing at their best).

Question is, are the expectations to high? With a coach like mourinho and our current squad?

We have squad most teams would kill for if you ask me
