Are we talking about city or utd I'm confused? If its utd I would say we were well in control of the game up until the last mins? We had all of the good chances in the second half so can't really argue with the approach. The result stings a bit is all

We were only in control in the sense that they weren't too threatening. All it takes is one chance though as we saw against City and now United. Prevent or at least minimise those chances by pressing them or controlling possession - you don't do that by sitting back though.

we should not sit back after getting 1-0 lead....we should have kept the possession and killed the game off.. mourinho should have known that he cannot trust this team to protect 1-0 lead....2 points dropped...

In a one-off game, home or away, Man City can smash 18 teams in the Premier League. The current Man Utd side are no different to Aston Villa in a game against Man City. Man City are just too good on the ball to not punish them.

Problem when people make these kind of assumptions is in real life things don't usually happen like that, like the way we usually think when comparing two teams. You can't take the average level City is playing and the average level United is playing and just assume that will be true on the day they face off. If that was usually true we would have smashed United today. But they stepped it up a notch against us and we played worse than usual (in part because they played well too and also nerves). And that kind of thing happens often in matches involving rival or big clubs. Those are the toughest games to predict.

Good point. Real kept attacking Barca and it paid off. Why can't Chelsea do that? Still too safe from Mou.

yes, he was so bold to say last season that he team lacked balls against Palace. Well he clearly lacked balls today bringing Obi fucking Mikel (that was terrible btw) when we were dominating. I get it that most of our midfield had been booked, but it was still no excuse to bring him.

I didn't complain about the tactics in the first half because I felt it was a disastrous performance by the players, nothing wrong with Mourinho's approach. But the moment he brought Mikel on and moved every single player behind the ball with still 20 minutes to go, he just screwed up.

Iva didn't deserve be sent off, I'm not even sure it was a free kick, but in all honesty, it pays Mourinho right for such a coward approach. Their defenders were lost after our goal, we should have capitalized, not played like a small team.

I don't know what game you were watching. We were so much more threatening than them in the second half. They hardly had a kick...

We didn't get the second goal but that wasn't a result of not looking for it.

It's like we score and instantly push the off switch. Very frustrating to watch as a fan.

Is it time we try and appoint foreign referee's in this league?

Apart from Probert are any ref's in this country any good? let alone the level required.

I would love this, as he surely supported Man Utd, we was dominating and then he goes and gives a free kick to them and a red card to our player. #Refsawanker

Referees need help. The game is too quick. Every single country complains about the quality of referees, assuming the grass is greener in other leagues.

Think people forget the first half. We created almost nothing while there was a lot of space and mistakes from United. All our creative players (except Hazard on some occasions) failed to impress today. Fab was marked out of the game and failed to overcome that. But Willian and especially Oscar, if they make the right choices and play simple passes then in the first half alone there would have been 4 or more one-vs-ones. Then, if you are finally one up from a set piece, imo it makes more sense to try and kill the game then desperately look for a second (giving more away in the back).

Well im just speculating as i don't watch much abroad.

I remember the game against Shaktar under RDM at home where the ref was amazing and got everything spot on including playing advantage and keep the game flowing, he was brilliant and I went out of my way to praise him on the match thread.

I can't remember the last time I felt that watching a PL game.
