Said Petr gave us the drive with that save to score the two goals in the first 10 mins. 1-0 to Arsenal after 3-4 minutes would have been a completely different game. Jase 43,479 Posted March 23, 2014 Share Posted March 23, 2014 When I saw the save during the match as it happened, I thought it was a decent save, an OK save, one that Cech should be saving because Giroud's shot wasn't the strongest/best. However after watching it again on MOTD last night, it was actually quite a good save. silviupastean 135 Posted March 23, 2014 Share Posted March 23, 2014 i don't want us to replace him with Courtois. although Courtois is a very good keeper, In Romania there is a saying, don't replace your pigeon with the crow on the fence, something like don't fix it if it ain't broken.I wish he would stay at least 4-5 more years with us, or at least until he starts to get rusty.Maybe it's just me, but i'm a romantic about these things.Also, if Et'o chooses to leave, i hope we resign Drogba as our 3rd striker / striker coach. Courtois has kept Atletico alive single-handedly vs AC milan 1st tie and barca now. It is not the first time Cech has messed up a game with some pretty bad saves but the very first time this happned in a game as big as this. The writing is on the wall. If we replace Cech now, it will be smooth and we will have the chance to build an entire new spine.
