He's the same sort of signing as Ba, Moses, Marin, Merieles; a decent player signed as his the best readily available option for a decent price. I doubt he'll be here more than a season or two

And that's exactly what we need, considering we are a one striker team and we can't hold two natural starters. He'd be playing second fiddle to Costa, and for that he checks all the boxes, at least theoretically. Our second option, Destro, would be much more expensive and some could argue more risky.

I challenge you to name better targets considering it's the last days of transfer window and clubs are extremely reluctant to let anybody go at this point.

Given the fact that he has scored 14 goals with average players around him, you will be pleasantly surprised by his quality at Chelsea.

Not to mention that he brings another dimension to our attack. It's like what Fabregas brought to our midfield.

For me he isn't chelsea material, he is not experienced in europe.

Clearly don't know nothing about him then, which is why I'm going to ignore the nonsense you sprout after this. Remy has actually played in Europe (including CL) 19 times.

I'm just not convinced that he'll score close to the amount of goals he scored for Newcastle/QPR. A strike force of Costa, Remy any Drogba still seems pretty underwhelming imo.

But the club has done extremely well by offloading Torres. Depending on how Costa and Remy perform this season, we can always look to bring in another striker in the next summer transfer window.

How is it underwhelming? The only way some fans would be happy is if we signed Falcao. We just got rid of Torres and signed Remy. Thats like selling a Fiat and buying a BMW.

A BMW isn't good enough for Chelsea duh. We need a Ferrari/Lamborghini at least.

Yes. Yes that's exactly what I'm saying....that we need to sign Falcao, Messi, Ronaldo and every other superstar name before I can even begin to feel an ounce of optimism.
