Chelsea have agreed to add a clause to Costa's contract which would allow him to return to Atlético for £28m in January. [Mundo Deportivo]

If we do plan to sell him it will be in the summer so we can find a proper replacement in time. I still have hope that Costa can come back to his best again like last season when he was banging goals left and right, but i wished he could just stop his antics on the pitch and focuses solely on helping the team, scoring and creating goals, the FA have their pitchforks ready for him at anytime, he´s a marked man. Cheers.

Exactly. Ronaldo is the best example of how a pro should behave.

Neymar changed his diet and look at him now, final 3 in the ballon d'or. Djokovic did the same since 2010 and since then he dominated tennis.

I truly think clubs should give these millionaire players personalized diet schedules of what they must eat, even in the summer.

This happened to Costa, it´s Fabregas fault :D...

Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo claim that Chelsea have agreed a clause in the contract of Diego Costa which would allow him to return to Atletico Madrid in the winter transfer window. The clause is for €40m/£28m and Mundo Deportivo say Atletico are evaluating whether to trigger it.

A €40m clause would sound very unlikely to us. Costa isn't having a good season but he certainly did last year and it would appear odd for Chelsea to allow such a contract stipulation. it's not a common thing for British clubs to include and the amount isn't high enough to have scared off other interest if Costa had done brilliantly well for Chelsea.

Just imagine if Costa had scored 30 goals last season and was on the way to more this season, only for Atletico to take him back for €40m, it doesn't add up.

Nevertheless, Mundo Deportivo say that's what the situation is.

Costa's strop at the weekend after warming up and face like a smacked behind won't have gone down well with Jose Mourinho, regardless of what he says publicly. Costa's on pitch antics are worth putting up with when he's scoring goals but if his attitude is questionable off the pitch, and he isn't scoring goals, it's not a great situation for Chelsea.

Why are you guys so upset? Yes, he's a cunt, but he's OUR cunt!

Plus, this is just the type of player he is. This is how he gets himself fired up. If it weren't for this kind of behavior he wouldn't be half the player he is (which would be catastrophic because this season he's been a league two player at best).

:D :D :D

Yep, right.

If he is your C*NT, he's yours then.

Why should he be our C*nt? Take him away with you as far as north pole....

Honestly with all the shit that's happened this season, I think fans should just let this one blow over and let it sort itself on its own.

Just when things seem to be on the way up, we don't need another thing to bog it down again.

Even though his attitude may have been nowhere near as bad, Drogba himself has done stuff that did more damage on the pitch than this would have. Stuff that is rightfully not given much importance these days, in comparison to his great acheivements. I feel that Costa's antics should also fall under that category

He's not a bad player but the dark side of his game takes enjoyment out of the game for me. I want 11 players on the pitch so it's a bumpy ride watching Costa go through his game of tricks. It's quite funny really, he does stupid stuff, gets suspended and sits happily in the stands...laughing and joking with one and all but when it's by choice he sits on the bench he throws his bib out the play area. He absolutely loves his naughty boy image it seems to me and he plays up to it. He's not a selfish footballer but his attitude is very selfish and not conclusive to harmony at the club.

We can do better.

Drogba?

I wasn't hear in 2008 but the forum I was on, some of the reactions towards Drogba for most of that year, especially after Moscow and against Burnley were not to dissimilar to what's on here now.

I am not upset that he is cunt. The problem is that he is embarrassing Chelsea Football Club.

I was being sarcastic and making fun of the usual excuses for Diego's awful behavior thus highlighting the hypocrisy and moral inconsistencies of most Chelsea fans regarding Costa.
