As good as he is, we really dont need the drama. We should sell him to Atletico in the summer.

What drama? We dont know even if theres been any drama. Just some click merchant media blogger started some Chinese whispers then each time some other medis person makes a headline they need to add a bit so they get their click portions.

Diego has a target on his back and the fuckin meia have been dieing for some shit to happen  since hes a reformed character on the pitch and unbiased supportyers have begun to like him theyve lost reasons to pick away at him.

Its started with the team too. Straight after Spuds they came out with the doubts and 'are they really good or just been lucky' shite.

And after our next loss you will get even worse. Soddin media loves breaking good things down.

I dont give a toss about drama as long as the team are all happy with each other. I dont care what mone Blues say.

So what really happened? Cause we have Tibo saying we don't need Diego to win the league. You make it seem as though the media pulled it out their ass when just reading between the lines tells you otherwise.

Even the Chinese club confirmed their interest

can you imagine that Lukaku could cost us 70m. wat a joke. i mean yes would like to bring him back but for 70m wat the hell did chelsea ever do to Everton. First Jones Stones now Lukaku. Wow wat a world we live in.

Again, a quote taken completely out of context.

Quote

He was left out of the squad as the Premier League leaders eased past Leicester City 3-0 on Saturday.

Courtois feels Conte's men proved a point in bouncing back from their loss to second-placed Tottenham.

"Of course we have enough quality to replace Diego," the Belgium shot-stopper said.

"Diego is important for us but if he's not there for one game we know we can handle it as well.

"Was this a message to our rivals? Yes, just to see Chelsea won 3-0 and that loss at Spurs didn't affect us and we can play without Diego if need be. I think everybody hoped for us to drop points and we didn't so that was very good."

Courtois was talking about how they can survive a few games without Costa, referencing how people doubted whether we could beat Leicester without him.

even all the media now saying with absolute certitude that he's off in summer, they have no clue whatsoever and are just making educated guesses based on what has gone on thus far... Their predictions are as valuable as yours or mine, and actually probably less so because they don't follow Chelsea as closely (there are exceptions of course but this is true for the majority of tabloids, journalists)... He very well might leave, although personally, I very much doubt it.

IMO, the most likely scenario is that he helps us win the league this season and is re-signed to a 250-275K/week contract until 2022. A scenario I'm all for tbh, Costa is a clinical beast and he gives our team a fear factor and a real focal point up front, add a real quality player on the right side and we'll be up there with the top sides in Europe and not just England.

Also, like I said before in this thread, I don't blame him for considering this Chinese bid because the amounts discussed are absolutely astronomical. He would stand to increase his current after tax salary 6-fold (from 5M after tax to 30M after tax) and IMO, any player in the world would at least have a think about such a proposal.

other pple too recieve such offers but dont all of a sudden have back injuries and spats with the coaching staff and all the other crap. Almost every top striker in europe has recieved one but didnt fuss soo much about it. I say sell him even if we win the league and thank him for his job done for us but we cant afford to have such team deharmonizing threats like that in the future. And i agree with Courtois anyone who thinks we will loose the title if we loose Costa doesnt understand the new philosophy in the chelsea camp atm. [BAD ATTITUDE =GETTING KILLED BY CONTE]

He should be careful not to push it. He is nowhere near Legendary status in Chelsea cause such fear and panick in the camp.

Drogba had his annoying moments too with his diving, sulking, wanting to leave Chelsea etc in his first few years here... He ended up being one of our top 3 players of all time (imo) and delivering us the CL and multiple PLs amongst other trophies...

I'm not saying the same thing will necessarily happen with Diego but sometimes it's a good idea not to make rash decisions based on one or two isolated incidents when you have an absolutely amazing player at your disposal... I don't expect Diego to be perfect, Mendes probably told him to try to get a few days off while he discusses the details of a possible deal with the Chinese club and Diego did it. It's of course very annoying for us fans but at the same time, I think it's a good idea to remember that this is still a job for footballers and a business for agents, clubs etc so we perhaps shouldn't expect absolute loyalty from anyone

I think he's gone in the summer. Probably came to an agreement that we'd let him go in the summer as long as he doesn't cause a fuss til then.

We're not gonna find anyone as good as him. Best case, we find someone as close to his quality as possible (Morata, Lukaku,...) and use the rest of the money to strenghten other positions.

Not much else we can do if he really wants to leave.

People saying this is just the media making things up, i doubt it.

If it was just the sun or the daily mail i'd say sure but the more reliable newsoutlets are reporting it aswell. Let's face it there's just too much information coming out for it not to be true.

Maybe he changes his mind but i wouldn't hold my breath. Just gotta accept it and move on.

Just wow

Im sure the Chinese wanted him - who wouldn't - he's been ripping it up!

Dont forget the media is run by bitter Loserpool and Utd fans

This is a classic case of destabilise Chelsea - I'm sure the media did this about Vardy and Arsenal to Leicester last season

Then the media come out and say 'until June' and 'target already identified' - such absolute bollox

please bookmark these posts and lets review in June!!!

Costa is here for the season and likely his contract- lets win the league then worry about it...

Media Logic: "Personal terms agreed with player" == "YEAH, baby! This move is gonna happen"

The chairman of the Chinese club was saying the same about Costa, as well as Benzema, and Falcao.

If you look at the facts, like Conte said, this is all that has happened so far:

1. Player injured Tue last week, couldn't train with rest of squad

2. Player didn't travel to Leicester, but like any injured player showed his support for the team on social media

3. Returns to training on Monday (ALONE!? Why?, because the rest of the squad is on holiday after the win)

4. Rest of the squad returns to training, and Costa trains with them

Now if you want to read between the lines and get all these additional 'facts', just like the journos and their sources from their local Chinese restaurant, then you can come to all kinds of interesting conclusions.

And like Unionjack said, if Costa was/is thinking about a future move, we need to do our best to convince him otherwise,...Only need to know how long we had to wait for a new 20-goal-a-season striker since we lost our last one.

Tibo was asked about situation and he said that for particular game, we didnt need Costa to win against Leicester because others can step up.

But media then made it look like Tibo came out to the press to say we dont need Costa this season anymore lol.

I remember when Sky (or was it bbc, cnn dunno) made news that penguins can fly (on first april) and people bought that shit. I mean just because some bloke says on sky that Costa wanted to leave and other bullshit, it doesnt mean its true. Likely they just took advantage of situation (or maybe their source did) and people believed it.

I mean, Costa is training, he is back friendly, he posted that instagram post same day rumours started.

He got in bust up with Conte because of injury, and he did recieve China offer, but the fact he wanted to leave is most likely bullshit.

The Tibo thing aside it's a bit of a stretch to think nothing happened. What exactly happened no one knows but of course the tabloids will run rampant.

I personally think he wanted to move to China after he heard the offer and has since calmed down a bit. He may even have a change of heart once Chelsea offer him a decent contact (in his view).

Im just glad it all seems to be over

We have to look at worse case. IF Diego is determined to go to AM in summer then we cant just roll over and take shit from them.

We got to at least try and play hardball. They are in 4th place o they need Diego too. lets get in now and try  for a straight swap with the Griez before the Rags sign him!

EDIT

I keep forgetting AMsa transfer ban till 2018

So maybe a swap for Morata spiteful_zpsb7dwawc4.gif

They have ban.

And Griz is not Diego replacement.
