Ryan Fong 2,776
Is it just me or did Torres, after he saw Mata scored, point to his feet like "why didn't you pass to me?" He did, but it's in a joking manner. Relax. iseah100 and Mohammed Seif

Shakez 755
Atleast he'll have a good rest , tbh i think only Hazard and Willian rival him in technical ability.
Popular Post! Pizy 18,909 Posted June 23, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted June 23, 2014 Hindsight is 20/20.Hindsight has nothing to do with it. It's common sense for everyone but Del Bosque, apparently.Xavi is past it and Silva does basically the same job as Iniesta which makes him redundant. They could've used a more aggressive and attack minded Cesc or Mata in there. iseah100, CHOULO19, jeronimo and 7 others
Daniel1980 1,425
Should've had a second assist to Mata but the shot was well blocked.Yep:Stats: 25 minutes played, 32 passes, 88% pass success, 1/3 accurate through balls, 6/6 accurate long balls, 2 key passes, 1 assist. We can safely say Barcelona didn't completely brainwash him into doing only two-metre passes. Hutcho 8,443
I'm obvioulsy a bit late. But thought he looked good yesterday. It was against Australia but i can't wait to seeing Fabregas, Hazard, Oscar and Willian all combining together. Hopefully they will have a half decent striker to supply but i am excited about the prospect. Mohammed Seif
Barbara 15,149
Iniesta did a beautiful work there. Thankfully we have hazard so we can see a lot of those movements next seasonI'm not sure he'll play so high in the pitch. I hope he plays a bit deeper and playing Lamps' position I don't expect him to reach the end of the pitch like that for a backward cross. But like lampard, i like CM who sometimes (not too often) find his space inside penalty box. Its give us more flexibility slash creativity imo. Normally he plays more advanced for Spain so I assumed he was either a false nine or a CAM.I don't mind if a #8 gets inside the box, but I find it a bit weird to be so near the flank and the corner. He should invade the box through the middle - although I don't mind it through the flanks... it's just weird and where you expect your wingers, fullbacks and CAMs to appear, not the #8... it was a great work by him and I hope we see it here too. Playing Cesc deeper and Oscar at #10 exposes the weaknesses in both of their games imo.

He is a DM but I've seen him running forward and even make some assist in several matches. With Fabregas as Matic partner in midfield it would be fun. Barbara 15,149
Oscar is more suited to playing the Lampard role I think. Playing Cesc deeper and Oscar at #10 exposes the weaknesses in both of their games imo.I can see Oscar playing Lamps role in a 4-3-3 - most advanced midfielder is perfect for him. Oscar doesn't have the physical attributes to play in the pivot in a 4-2-3-1. Not only he won't be as good there - although many here think so - but it will wear him out even sooner, probably reducing his good matches for us to 2-3 months at best. This team is begging for a 4-3-3. Oscar can alternate with Cesc at the most advanced position - which makes him share 50% of the burden in the defensive/pressing aspect. We need skilled players such both of them (Matic is also skilled) to play in our midfield. Oscar probably has better tackle stats than Cesc, so he balances it, as Cesc won't have the burden all to himself either. I think they complement and share the weight perfectly between the two of them in a 4-3-3. I'm dreaming about seeing it in the pitch.Oscar lost a lot of power to influence Brazil now because Scolari switched from a 4-3-3 to a 4-2-3-1 where Neymar has a free role and is the focal point. I'm not sure Oscar had the free role in the CC, but he played as the third midfielder and he was perfect there.
