yuvala 2,167
I wonder how he'll fit in this season.. a must in the starting XI for me. When he's on we are so much better offensively, every pass he makes is just brilliant. Conte said in one of his last interviews last seasons that Hazard and Pedro/Willian are actually no. 10s in this 3-4-3 and not inside forwards/wingers. The wing backs take this responsability (to play as wingers) when the team is on the front foot. So we could see more of Cesc in the front three with Hazard and Morata next season judging by Conte's words. Bakayoko - Kante as the holding midfielders. But in this case we need at least two new central midfielders to act as a backup. MefiX19
RoyalBlues 4,050
Chelsea ace Cesc Fabregas insists he's not worried about Tiemoue Bakayoko arrival: 'That will not put me down... I have been competing for 15 seasons' Quote 'That will not put me down after what happened last season and how I stood up to it. 'I'm ready for anybody. I feel great. I understand the philosophy of the manager very, very well. I know what he wants from me.' Both Bakayoko, who is out until September with a knee injury, and Fabregas look set to battle it out to start alongside key man N'Golo Kante in Chelsea's engine room but Conte has also hinted at playing the Spaniard in a No 10 role. The Italian tactician also praised Fabregas for improving his all-round game since the start of last season. 'Cesc has improved a lot from when I arrived at Chelsea,' said Conte. 'He is a really good player who can play in midfield and can also play as a No 10. 'He is a great example to other players with his commitment and behaviour every day during training sessions. He must continue in this way because he is working well for us.' http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4724314/Chelsea-ace-Cesc-Fabregas-not-worried-competition.html yuvala

cfcs most wanted 657
No. 10 role sounds interesting to me , maybe we might be shifting to a 3-5-2 Fernando, Supermonkey92 and RoyalBlues
lucashm 340
Dreadful against Bayern and Inter, you better get your shit together Cesc, or you will find yourself on the bench very soon Supermonkey92
Popular Post! Clockwork 1,794 Posted July 29, 2017 Popular Post! Share Posted July 29, 2017 The thing is both Bayern and Inter played with greater numbers in midfield. Inter had Brozovic, Borja, and Gagliardini which puts them in a good position to win the midfield battle vs Kante and Cesc. Also their forwards Perisic and Candreva were much more willing to help in the buildup. Personally see the issue tactical and the main underling issue with the 3-4-3 system we have in place. I think any team that can do the following effectively are in a great position to win the game against us. Have more numbers in the middle, and stop easy movements from our WBs. Fortunately most clubs in the PL can not do that effectively, but the better sides in the league and Europe can.   King11Didier, The Chels, Supermonkey92 and 3 others
LAM09 7,051
He CANNOT play in a 2 man midfield. Hasn't got the legs anymore and makes Kante's job even harder. Johnnyeye, the wes and King11Didier

Jase 43,479
Stupid. Absolutely stupid of Fabregas to go for that challenge. We still had a chance at 80 minutes with 10 men and he had to go end it with stupid, risky challenge! Same, I was actually more upset with him than Cahill.. because that's expected from Cahill. But Cesc just legitimately made that Spurs match A Million times harder. That's the type of red card you fine a weeks wages on FM.
BlueLyon 9,359
Cesc is not first 11 quality anyway. But now when we have no one else, still better than nothing. When does Baka return from injury?

Beigl 1,387
So stupid from, what an idiot. We were on the front foot and could have even drew the game, but he makes this silly tackle.
Magic Lamps 11,692
What was he thinking, it is not that Burnely were creating any danger in the second half once we turned up. apart from that he got the ball so it was a decent tackle. Still he was not professional this game. the sarcastic applause was the needless one. With that in mind he shall not present the referee with the choice to send him of. At Arsenal or barca he would have got away with that but he is at Chelsea now, the most hated club by opposition fans and the fa.

On his day he is quality, but he is too much of a poop to actualy lead our team week in week out. He is nowhere near what people say he is when comes to playmaking. Cant control the ball, poor under pressure, cant dictate tempo. Instead of calming down teammates and tempo of the game, he makes nervous decisions all the time. Nevermind how awfuly slow and immobile he is. Two or three long balls per game are not enough to play him regulary. But sadly we dont have anyone else, and as impact sub he is still rather good player, taking on tired defences. But its pretty clear our midfield gets overrun with Cesc in middle, like it did in 2015-16 season. El P. and kellzfresh
