The Skipper 20,609
Different types of players... Both class but Kroos edges James in creativity which is what we are desperate for And we've got enough of it in Cesc, Hazard and Oscar (in sporadic moments). No need to overload the team with creativity if it means that the team isn't even going to function well.
Amin Sarmadi 24
Bayern Munich midfielder and Chelsea target Toni Kroos has dropped a big hint that he’s ready to quit the Champions this summer, according to the Daily Star. And the player has opened a door to a move by revealing: “There’s nothing new to report.“With respect to the time before the World Cup, nothing at all has changed.“If anything does happen, then you will all find out. Congratulations to Philipp and Thomas for their decisions and extensions.”

Pizy 18,980
Seems like a pretty stupid move for him to go to Madrid. Doesn't really feel valued and important at Bayern so you go to a side who already has Modric, Alonso, Illaramendi, Khedira, and Isco in midfield? Even if they flog Khedira off Kroos won't displace Xabi I wouldn't think. A Kroos/Modric partnership wouldn't be defensively solid enough.Think this would be just like the Isco transfer where everyone thought he'd be a direct Özil replacement and be a big player for them and then he warms the bench most of the time. Pizy 18,980
...or maybe they sell someone.Who besides Khedira? Alonso just renewed and Isco & Illara have been there a year. Their midfield is packed.

Symbol123 175
Taking his monstrous wage demands into consideration, he'll probably cost as much as Pogba does in the long run.Pogba > Kroos for our team definitely. Our midfield in a 4-3-3 could consist of a world class DM in Matic, a world class playmaker in Fabregas, and if we buy Pogba a world class B2B player. Deadly combinationNo doubt Kroos has talent but having both him and Fab in the midfield would be too much if a liability in defense, and I'd rather have Fab since his passing is a lot more direct which will help with our counter attacks
Pizy 18,980
Everything running through him here for Germany once again. Just effortlessly sits deep and dictates the tempo like a puppeteer pulling the strings.*sigh* I still want him here so badly.

He's about as good as Pjanic. He's only overrated if you're thinking about him as the main man in midfield. If he's got top class players next to and in front of him to compliment him (Matic & Cesc for instance) he's excellent.Dirt cheap when compared to other midfielders too. Korea 734
Kroos best games this season and when this thread had the most replies were from the arsenal game and the portugal game where both team where playing with 10 men. I would love to see Kroos go to United so we can see how slow, immobile and overrated he is.

Don't see people comparing him to or saying he's on the same level as players like Vidal. He's just a very solid, tidy creative midfielder.
