manpe 10,861
I didn't see the game enough to judge his performance but fucking hell, the way people are talking it seems he murdered someone. Somebody even said his performance has cost us qualification from the group stage... what? Have I missed something or are points deducted for shit displays? Styles 9,790
Being poor defensively when his side was overloaded by the opposition is understandable. Ashley Cole struggled in the first game against Shakthar for the same reason.Shakhtar's game-plan was to play tight then spread the ball out to Srna.45% of Shakhtar's attacking play coming from the right shows that Bertrand needed a lot of support. Hazard alone wasn't enough. The only thing that worried me about Bertrand's performance was his use of the ball. He was offered very little support defensively. Bosnian Blue and 17. Madmax 9,219
Think RDM missed a trick by switching Ramires and Mikel from their usual RCM and LCM positions. Mikel covers for Ash's forward runs while Rami does his bit on the right, where Mata doesn't offer track back. Playing Ramires on the right just left Ryan more exposed and mitigates the blame that can be laid at his feet. Styles

BlueLion. 21,491
I thought he was lacklustre yesterday to be honest. Matched Sterling for pace but out of position so frequently.

Matched Sterling for pace but out of position so frequently.I thought he did well, but when (I think it was Sousa) came on struggled a bit with his positioniong, else he was always a thread and had Sterling in his pocket plus brough some good deliverings in to the box, low and high... 5354 204
to be fairbetrand didnt have much protection from hazard. the only protection he had was from ramires.at times bertrand hesitated whether to go up the pitch to close down sterling or gerrad

Stingray 9,441
I think it is one thing to say Bertrand is still young but full of talent which I fully support. Also, It is true eg. Lamps bettered with age and was not the world player he would become later on. What I do regret is the pointing finger on Hazard for not tracking back perfectly all the time. You know what ... He is 21 and also a very young player. He will learn, so will Oscar and those two (three - enter Mata ) combined will aid greatly to make Chelsea by far the best team in the EPL ... Good times ahead, that is for sure!!!

CHOULO19 24,332
Fingers crossed his injury is nothing serious; we need every player for the next 2 weeks. Our squad is too thin as it is. xPetrCechx

Madmax 9,219
Should never play left midfield again. So apparent LB is where it's at for him.
flyll 5
I think Ryan has grown so much when you think back over the last few years and I think he will continue to do that. When he reaches his very very best,I think he may well be one of the best! TrippingStep 336
I like his contribution at LM against packed teams, he won't produce a lot of stuff with the ball (even if I'm convinced he can, re: his assist for Malouda and his shot against Newcastle). Most of his contribution is without the ball actuallyHe features what few feature in the squad: runs, runs through space, following second balls (Mata does too, though) and toward the outside of the field. Thus he creates space, roots the full back and allows both Cole to overlap or Lampard to insert at the edge of the box. That was obvious against Stoke. He does what is expected from him as a squad playerOn Bertrand, I disagree on nearly all points.Ok, on counter-attacks, he can do good runs but it's not Ramires but defensively he's not that good, not that good pressing the ball, not that good cutting the passing lanes.Link-up play is bad and for his runs agaisnt Packed teams, against stoke I didn't find him very good, there was a play where there was a huge gap inside the box behind two players that were in front of Hazard and he did an outside run close the line.I've not seen him making a good match, only averages one. Offered little in defense and offense, often off tempo defensively eventhough he's supposed to add in that department. Mufassir08
