🇪🇬 Mohamed Salah

My prediction is that he is going no where in Jan. There is no need for us to do transfers in Jan. Any possible upgrades can wait till the summer.

Yep, I think only an offer too good to refuse will force Mourinho to sell the lad and bring someone in as cover (not Reus as some members insist on).

Salah has to bide his time. We're seeing Mourinho use Remy now as one of 'automatic substitutes' and Salah could do the same if he continues to bide his time and work well in training. If that won't happen then I'm sure Mou won't have any complaints about letting him leave in summer.

Could they be rested for the weekend? Even then its kind of strange. I would have bet good money on Salah getting some minutes tonight.

Rested? You mean they got tired of sitting on the bench the whole time?

Should have been played today - it's all well and good Willian acting like a wing back but he did not aid the attack at all. Salah could have given us width, and it's a slap to the face that he wasn't on the bench today.

I really don't understand why he isn't played more, I've always seen him as our strongest winger behind Hazard.

More people need to realise this. I really can't understand why people are dismissive of him. He has to quality to deliver, but hasn't been given the chance.

tbh if he doesn't start playing then I can't blame him if he goes elsewhere...Good winger, needs game time.

Di Marzio: Roma intensifies pursuit of Chelsea winger Salah

Roma look to the transfer market with the intention of strengthening their squad and keep competing at the highest level. The current plan for the capital club is to sign a winger in the January window, and the main target is Mohamed Salah. Over the last few hours, important progress has been made in dealing with Chelsea. Roma director Walter Sabatini met representatives today to devise a strategy. An important acceleration, for a transfer negotiation that is already in full swing. Salah could soon be joining the "giallorossi" of Roma.

As we reported last night, Roma is intensifying their pursuit of Salah. Today the winger's agent met with Chelsea, the intermediary representing Roma was also present. They are working in bridging the gap between Roma's offer of a €500,000 for the loan with an option to buy Salah in 18 months at €14 million, while Chelsea is asking for €1.5 million up front. It also emerged that Chelsea had tried to include Salah in the potential deal with Fiorentina for Cuadrado. Salah is also being pursued by Real Sociedad (Chelsea met with the Spanish club yesterday morning) as well as Atletico Madrid and Monaco, but it appears Salah prefers to join Roma.
