I seriously didn't know where to post this. At the end of the game, I was disappointed because of the result and how the team performed in general. But now about an hour after the game is over, I find myself furious. I understand that people have the right to criticize or better critic our team. But excuse my low IQ level, I JUST CAN'T UNDERSTAND HOW WE CAN TRASH TALK OUR ENTIRE TEAM. Some people are just racing from one thread to another for the sake of posting how crap our players are. It will be normal if we say that x player had a bad game, should have done this or shouldn't have done that. But to go to say that the player is not good enough, or useless or just subjectively bash him is a total shame on these people who call themselves fans. Some people need to know the difference between criticizing and just talking bullshit.

Yes we had a bad game. Oscar should have done better with his vision and passing. Willian was off, not the right decision making, and slow to release the pass. Ivanovich was clueless, running without a purpose. Terry wasn't sharp today and neither was Azpi. Eto was leaving the box all of the time allowing their defense to settle in and feel comfortable. Salah was not making the right runs today, especially in the first half and lost the ball a lot. We did not link up well as a team. We could have created more threatening chances but our passing game failed us. WE WERE ALL BAD. But that is no reason to say the team has no character. We showed character in most of our games. Remember, City, Arsenal, United, PSG? We have character and we have the mentality. We slipped today and that happens to all teams. Sure it is a bad time to slip, and we should have taken the 3 points regardless of how good or bad the ref is or the opposition is but still, this is not a bad team and the players are good players.

Mourinho is a great manager, so I don't get the idiots who say he should go. He is a human not a GOD. He makes mistakes like everyone does, but to call him a bad manager and for some to be asking for him to get sacked is just absolute garbage.

People have the right to think that it is over as far as the EPL is concerned.I respect that but I will disagree. I will argue that I am being as realistic as the people who think it is over. We have seen how things change all the time. It was all over and within a week City lost 5 points. Yes the probability is low but the chances still exist. It is not over for me as long as there are still matches to play and mathematically there is a chance. We should play every game like it is not over. If things happen for us then great, if not then we would have lost it with a fight till the end.

These are hard, tough times for the team. I think it is now that the club needs its fans. It is not at the times of glory only. I seriously hope we pick ourselves up, as fans and as a team. We need to believe and support our club more than ever now. We will get through this, regardless of the ending results.

When you watched us chasing the game, who in their half was putting their foot on the ball and taking responsibility? Who was the guy that YOU looked to when the chips were down?

Who was the Drogba or Lampard? Because I looked and I didn't see anyone.

That's not to say that these players can't become those guys because a lot of them are young, but at the moment there's a distinct lack of character just like there was away to Villa. Hazard stepped up against Fulham and showed some real mettle against City but he wasn't there today, so who was the guy we needed today?

Ramires?

Matic?

Ba?

Willian?

Schurrle?

A lack of character, but character is forged in moments like this.

I am on the same page with you here and I understand what you are saying mate. If I way was to judge (if I am entitled too) on the team based on today's performance, I would agree 100% that this team has no character, and no fighting spirit. They showed none today. But when I look at the entire season, I don't see that at all. You can say that today was a perfect day to show character and heart. You are not wrong. But I can also say that they showed they have character against PSG ( after a week of 2 defeats) and against Arsenal....etc. I would not be wrong either. This team in my opinion does not lack character, heart or the mentality. But they lack CONSISTENCY. That is because like you, I and others have rightfully said that we have many young players. And at this stage they will face inconsistencies. I don't think Hazard was going to change this game but that is very subjective. After all we was there at the Palace game and that didn't go well for us. We as a team, are also struggling with our attacking formula. Something that Jose needs to work on with the squad and with the new striker(s). We are not linking up very well. Most people see that we struggle when it comes to very defensive sides. That is an area for the players and the manager to improve in. If you compare today's performance (not result) with last week's, you will not find a lot of difference. I think it is consistency mate not character. But I get your points.

The problem is our striker, no need to go looking for other problems you'll just be making mountains out of mole hills. It's been the same almost every game of the season, our striker have been figured out and they just are good enough. Look at the teams we are being compared to at this stage with Manchester City, Liverpool, Bayern, Atletico and Real. The quality of strikers is so stark in comparison so we just need to be realistic because this season was difficult from the first week, we've had very short easy periods and most of the season has been a grind. The title run is over, no mathematically but you get on that page or else you will start your summer off heartbroken. The signs are all pointing to disappointment at for the league title that is.

Liverpool, City, Bayern also playing better attacking game than ours, collectively as a team they are a lot more fluid and create better positions for themselves during the game, and create better chances. So no, its not just the striker and those are not mole hills, we need to get much better next season. We need to play better football with the players we have, regardless of who is the striker. I cant believe fans still throw everything on this issue.

The league is rigged this season. I'm not trying to be funny, I honestly didn't want to believe it, that was until I watched and payed careful attention to the Manchester United vs Liverpool game this season. There has been a concerted effort to ensure that Liverpool win the league this season. 'Pool have played their part and been fantastic, but when they look in danger of not winning, the refs make game changing decisions in their favour. It started after the turn of the new year. I've never seen anything like it before, not Calciopoli Juve or Ferguson's Man U.. It's blatant cheating, but these refs are clever with it and that's what Jose was alluding to in his sarcastic post match conference. And when he's been saying Chelsea can win the league "if they let us". It's almost as if the FA are desperate to give Gerrard and Liverpool their first league title since the Hillsborough disaster, especially after the controversial findings in 2012.

Then I saw a strange promo on MOTD a couple of weeks ago and it settled it for me. There have been far too many "errors" in decisive games this season. More so than ever before. I call BS.

People don't learn. Liverpool could drop points, nothing is guaranteed, games are played and won on the field, not on paper.

You haven't watched enough of them recently. Their greatest strength is the man in black, the man with the whistle, not their strike force. I can assure you that Liverpool are dropping no points that will enable them not to win the league this season.

Crazy things have happened, right? City wasn't supposed to lose. They were invincible. And Pool won't have Henderson.

Exactly my point, the lack of character is what pisses me off more than the defeat, we played like we didnt know tht we are fighting for the title and also like its mandatory for us to get 3 points at the bridge.

On top of the referees LPool have balls, how many times have they pulled a result from the fire?? City, Fulham, Sunderland, West Ham, Aston Villa all come to mind. I know all this because my room mate is a Lpool supporter so i watch them often with him

Let me share with you my experience on how to deal with defeats on TC. This is something I've learned from being an active member here for about 3 years now:

-DO NOT log onto TC during or directly after the match at any cost.

-Wait 3-4 hours, preferably to the next day.

- After that, the first thing you do after you log on is click on the "Mark Community Read" button at the bottom of the page.

And viola, you have saved your self from an incredibly unhealthy amount of shit.
