Great win. Arguably the most convincing away performance of the season so far (partly thanks to West Ham being slightly rubbish). Got back to winning ways and now need to carry on into a tough winter period with many games, starting with Basel on Tuesday. Also good thing we have won and taken advantage of 6 of the 8 teams (before today) playing each other this weekend.

Hardly a match to watch for bystanders. WHU had a poor game; some of it was due to our pressuring high up the pitch (esp Oscar), but most of it was just lack of teamwork and overall ability on their side.

Their back line is so technically inapt - showcased by their inability to pick up a pass - that applying pressure against them will always produce results; it's like we've provided a playbook to be used against them at the moment. City and Everton prob done the same before.

Very risky to take much out of this aside from the 3 points of course. They may or may not improve in the future esp in Jan. If they do, that's good news for us since they will be making their opponent's life more difficult later on. We've played 2 of the worst sides in the premiere, Fulham and WHU. We've won both matches, so if they (or either one) improve that'd be great news.

Their also had no aggression, no drive, did not foul us much, which we'd expect in away games against smaller sides. So, very strange and easy match, esp for a "derby." (hardly so these days)

Happy for the result and that's about it - no conclusions to be made about tactics or performances IMO.

That wasn't such a bad team selection after all, now was it? :P

Midfield was again so much better with Mikel in it and Ramires was a winger only on paper, in reality he was fucking everywhere and did a great job today. Hell, even Lampard had an excellent match and that's something we haven't seen in a while. Hazard and Oscar both great and the only thing lacking in Eto's performance today was a goal but I feel he will get in on Tuesday.

Maybe a three man midfield is the way to go? Could consist of Mikel, Ramires and one of Lampard, Oscar or maybe even De Bruyne if only he could force his way back into the squad. That would leave players like Hazard, Schürrle and Willian to bomb up and down the wings. Mata obviously the one who unfortunately wouldn't really fit anywhere in a formation like that but we can't stick with something that hasn't worked too well lately just to accommodate one player.

Frank Lampard: "I'll play anywhere for this manager. Once we went ahead our football was superb. We should have scored more."

their bromance is cute, but for God's sake, Mourinho, we don't want to see Lamps everywhere, but just where he played today.
