Ollie 4,400
Royston Drenthe really fucked up too. Star in the U21 Euro's, went to Real Madrid, now he's at Reading. Wow what a fall
OneMoSalah 8,886
Also that Brazilian Kelton or Kelron (can't remember, the guy who did the seal dribble trick anyway in a u20 world cup game) didn't live up to his potential. Didn't he not sign for Inter Milan then end up back in Brazil not long after?

captainjt26 106
And due to the a conversation I've just had with rmpr: To be fair mate Gazza was tremendous for us at Glasgow Rangers and played a huge role for our 9 in a row campaign ! Rmpr 8,977
Denilson, had the potential to be the best Brazilian player of all time!
Rmpr 8,977
Also that Brazilian Kelton or Kelron (can't remember, the guy who did the seal dribble trick anyway in a u20 world cup game) didn't live up to his potential. Didn't he not sign for Inter Milan then end up back in Brazil not long after?Kerlon, a young player from Cruzeiro...But to be honest, he never had any perspective of a bright future. People went crazy for no reason, they confuse talent and tricks with actual realistic ability to play football!
kwylino 329
May i feel free to throw in two of these guy's namesDiego and Krasic? if that would be fair, Definately diego i would mention as i remember that guy being a pretty big draw in his days at werder, went to juventus, juve had a crap season that season went back to wolfsburg, seemed to not work out for him, I also remember kjaer at wolfsburg too being a bit of a big hit in a way then dissapearing?, I also too could mention..Palermo, I had hopes for that team as they and napoli seemed to be the big two up and coming Italian football teams, napoli made it but Palermo sunk.As in ones forgotten after starting with big hype or another form of how they were known and then suddenly dissapeared off the map as my memory may rememberBenjani, Savio Nserko, Luis Jiminez, David nugent, Amantino Mancini, Federico Macheda? And also if chelsea fans may remember, Asier Del Horno? The Rising Sun 711
People havent mentioned Mikel yet.So....Mikel.He is still here so nothing to stop him from justifying the hype in his younger days, not likely though.ZAKI - ForgottenObafemi Martins - i thought he had great potential in his first season.Aquilani - Lol

kwylino 329
I remember jimmy bullard at fulham, was linked to a move to arsenal all those years ago, looked like he would hit the big time, went to hull and it was downhill from then. Tomo 21,751
And also if chelsea fans may remember, Asier Del Horno? Was so excited when we got him, a good left back who scores goals. His first month resulted in a header cleared off the line by Ljungberg against Arsenal then a goal against Spurs. Were did it all go wrong
kwylino 329
How about Jo? I remember there was some hype around the guy, even when he moved to man city but it too seemed to go wrong as well. Also i remember a PSV fan i knew had MASSIVE hopes over Ibrahim Affelay only for him too to somewhat go down, Huntelaar hasn't totally fallen but i remember him Being touted as the next Van Nistelrooy. Shane 2,275
To be fair mate Gazza was tremendous for us at Glasgow Rangers and played a huge role for our 9 in a row campaign !Lets be fair, Having a few good seasons in the SPL and guiding an Old Firm team to two titles is hardly making it at the top top level.Kevin Doyle was linked with Arsenal and Juventus a few years ago, He's not struggling to score goals in League One for Hull.Freddy Adu, Adriano (Who was unplayable on his day) and Pato are all well noted. Someone posted the Pato goal at the Nou Camp a few years ago, remember seeing that and thinking fuck me what a player but it was never to be.Jose Baxter at Everton was predicted to be Englands next top striker, He's playing in League One now for Sheffield United. Reddish-Blue 2,503
The likes of Shaun Wright Phillips, David Bentley, Jermaine Pennant could have been England's starting wingers had they lived up to the potential...
