coolhead23 1,147
Chelsea Set To Complete Izzy Brown Deal Chelsea will shortly complete the signing of 16 year-old forward Isaiah ‘Izzy’ Brown from West Bromwich Albion after the finer details of the move were finalised on Friday. The Blues have held a long-standing interest in the Peterborough-born youngster but only accelerated the process of signing the England youth international in recent weeks. Perhaps spurred into action by his ascent into professional football and the potential of losing him to another club – he spent a week on trial at Arsenal in January – they decided to make their move. Brown made his Premier League debut towards the back end of last season barely two months after his sixteenth birthday. The Baggies’ Academy Player of the Year appeared at Under-21 and Under-18 level whilst still a schoolboy and was a regular feature for Kenny Swain’s Three Lions in their Victory Shield campaign. He is capable of playing as either an out and out forward or as a wide attacker and is blessed with skill, pace, strength and finishing ability. He will join a group of first-year scholars featuring Jeremie Boga, Charly Musonda, Charlie Colkett and others before penning professional terms next summer, and will likely feature across all youth age groups under both Dermot Drummy and Adi Viveash. West Brom will receive standard up-front compensation for the lifelong Chelsea supporter, roughly to the tune of £200,000 for his training and development up to this point. There is the potential for upwards of seven figures to make its way to The Hawthorns over the course of Brown’s Chelsea career should he reach the professional ranks, and they will be due a percentage of any future profit made on the player should he be sold. http://thechels.net/2013/07/chelsea-set-to-complete-izzy-brown-deal/ http://www.weaintgotnohistory.com/2013/7/7/4501848/west-bromwich-albion-Isaiah-brown-chelsea-transfer-training-update P.S. Since this is not official announced I have added it to transfer talk. Mods, please feel free to shift as appropriate.
Spike 12,049
Nooo, he should have stayed at West Brom. It's not like they are rolling around in world class forwards. He could have made the first team in a few seasons.

Jusek 2,031
The teenager is also expected to travel with Mourinho's first-team squad in pre-season, along with Ruben Loftus-Cheek, 17, and is understood to have impressed Chelsea scouts to such an extent that he could make his senior debut in the forthcoming season.http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/10166504/West-Bromwich-Albion-teenager-Isaiah-Brown-to-join-Chelsea-months-after-making-Premier-League-debut.htmlInteresting. nyikolajevics 2,700
Even if he's that good he should be loaned out. This boy is only 16 years old! Sick..
IkE 267
For a kid like him to make the pre-season with the first team should be a great booster to improve. Brilliant shit. Christo191
Waterfall 893
Even if he's that good he should be loaned out. This boy is only 16 years old! Sick..Him being that young is actually the reason he should stay for an Ake role (primarily in U21/18 matches with some first team opportunities here and there). There would be less pressure on him here with superior teammates taking some off him.

laeth 527
Bid officially rejected by WBA.Was going to say; they can't reject anything because he doesn't belong to them under a professional contract. We'll have to pay some compensation but that's it.
