Seems like his Chelsea career is coming to a close..JM most likely has lost complete faith in him.

And now that Schurrle has messed up every a lot of opportunities, i don't see how Willian will ever be rotated. Becuase JM clearly isn't happy with Schurrle and hasnt been for a long time.

And our other options for rw are Salah and maybe Remy...very poor considering Remy is really a ST.

Such a jekkyl and hyde player.

If this is 'the end', then definitely do it now, for the club and the player (who I believe is a top lad who never grumbles). Hope he gets some form, be it for us or someone else. It's depressing after the w/c. I thought it was going to be his year.

I'm not sure how he is still starting games. It's clear to see he doesn't fit Mourinho's style and ethos.

Because he's better than salah and ramires/remy was/is unfit.

So, basically by default and the fact he makes the best runs outside of diego for cesc to pick out.

Remy and Ramires aren't wingers IMO, and I personally don't think he is better than Salah.

He's started around 12 matches. That's enough!

True but look at the context of the games he played in. He started in 3 of our first 4 league games when his confidence was still high from the World Cup. Since then, he played only 2 more league matches from the start - against Arsenal and Southampton. Of course, his illness didn't help but I guess that's another issue. In the Champions League, he started at Sporting Lisbon (to exploit their high defensive line), Maribor (lesser opposition, chance for Mourinho to rotate) and at home to Sporting (a dead rubber match used to improve his match fitness). As for the domestic cup games, he's started in all of them but that's normal for managers to rotate their squad and rest first team players, no?

It is, but he hasn't taken his chance. Salah should now be given a chance.

I still think people are way too harsh on a player that has been recovering from mononucleosis. In tennis many players that had it either retired or couldn't play regularly anymore.

Even the almighty Roger Federer took over one year to recover completely from it. I know of cases in tennis because I watch it closely, but there are cases in many other sports.

As I said, this particular illness has a tough toll on professional athletes. It doesn't affect you physically if you're a standard person - and therefore you don't demand a lot from your physical condition. For athletes it's different. Their physical condition are on many levels above ours, but for a while, they can't reach it because of the illness effects. Go Google and see how many cases of athletes careers were impacted by it.

All that said, André is a squad player, suited for only a certain kind of matches and who relies more than the average player on confidence, as normally has a lot of shots per match and we all witnessed what low confidence can do to a player's shot conversion earlier this season when Hazard just couldn't get in. Hazard is years light ahead of Schurrle and have many more tools, still the lack of confidence converting chances haunted him for a little while.

Running high on confidence, he could get a stretch of games as a starter, but I don't see him beyond a squad player. He'll never be the absolutely owner of a position in the starting XI.

Well, mononucleosis is a guess/conjecture I am affraid. That said: i found him lacking in qualify before as well and he is displaying the same shortcomings.

On another note, mono is a bitch ....

Still, I wonder how 'friendly' we would be/are if another player got sick or injured and then had a difficulties period. KDB comes to mind after his injury in preseason.

Wasn't there a report a couple of weeks ago mentioning even the scientific name for the virus?
