He has been our most threatening AM this season, if not for some bad finishing he could be top scorer with the chances he got from being in excellent positions.

Weird how he can't get into the team atm, thought Mourinho loved him lol.

I was screaming for him to come on at HT

Absolutely.

Schurrle-Oscar- Hazard

Simply the best trio we have. Period.

Still not sure why Mourinho gave him the 'you killed my puppy' treatment when he was in a very good moment for us.

He's barely used as a sub these days and some matches just suit his pace and objective play in addition to the width he brings to us, and his impeccable work-rate.

He must start against either Sunderland or Stoke

It's somewhat mysterious that he has been under-used lately especially when 1-2 of those games suit his strengths perfectly. Then again, the fact that we have 6 AMs available is a problem. Even Willian hasn't been starting games...

The fact that we have 6 AM's is THE problem. It will eventually cause problems in the dressing room. Not to mention it's a waste of money and talent.

Gonna need to offload 2 + Moses in the long run to keep things healthy.

2? thats like 4 AMs for 3 spots. we are lucky we are not injury-hit. i mean look at arsenal. they had podolski, walcott, and oxlade injured right at the start of the year and had no cover what-so-ever in their 3 AM position except for ozil, santi and wilshere with gnabry getting a bit of a look in.

to be honest we will be fine by selling 1 of the AMs. the 6th ranked AM (kdb in the current scenario) will never get enough play-time that his talent would demand and will always be unhappy. on the other hand if KDB's spot goes to some1 like piazon who is not expected to start many games except for the odd cup game and CL dead rubbers, then it would do very well for the squad mentality.

I agree, except I don't think we need to offload 2. I think, and have been saying since we signed Willian, that one of the six will leave in the next two windows. There is just not enough games for all of them!

I'd agree if it weren't for the quality of our 'back up' players. Podolski, Walcott and oxlade-chaimberlain are no Schurrle/Mata/Willian imo. They could all easily be starters for most teams.

oscar and hazard are the "mostly" guaranteed starter while schurrle/mata/willian are the ones who are rotated. which is the perfect scenario. you need strong back-up players to win leagues and that is what we have.

remember when we used to play 4-3-3 in say, 2009-10. we had the likes of ballack, deco, anelka, joe cole/zhirkov on the bench.

or in recent times u can look at bayern at be amazed at their bench and the number of quality AMs and CMs they have got.

all said and done, i still accept we have 1 quality AM (probably KDB) more than needed. piazon for KDB would have made for an ideal squad.
