please watch this video and watch the first 3 to 5 minutes and you will understand the meaning of everything about the nike logo.

this video below will teach you what the nike means and what it stands for.

and you will understand why you don't and won't like nike as our sponsor/partner/kit manufacturer logo if they become our logo.

if you say 'chelsea football club' and reverse your speech on that saying it will say 'he slashed' is chelsea football club in reversed speech.

LOL people are already designing new kits while we don't even know what the sponsor will be

Same as we have now.

Chelsea Football Club announced one of the biggest shirt sponsorship deals in the history of the sport on Thursday. The five-year pact with Japanese tire manufacturer, Yokohama Rubber YORUY +%, is worth almost £40 millionannually (or $60 million), according to the Daily Telegraph. The deal is worth more than twice as much as Chelsea’s previous shirt agreement with Samsung Electronics , which paid £18 million annually. The Blues will showcase Yokohama on their shirts after 10 years with Samsung.

5 years so we have until 2020.

$$$$ means more than design

Under Armour has been making real strides to compete with Nike. They've already jumped Adidas in the US, have signed some top American athletes to lucrative deals and have been looking to get more into international markets.

In the past, they've been reliant on their compression gear, and if I remember correctly, even an executive admitted that they're too reliant on cold weather for sales. Signing one of the most popular clubs in the world to a good kit deal would do wonders for establishing Under Armour as a more powerful sportswear brand.

Who cares what Under Armour are doing in the USA. In European football, if you're not adidas or nike you're not a big club. Simple.As.That.

The power of the Nike 'the brand' is worth more to us than a few extra million on a contract.

Switching to ANY other brand other than Nike will symbolise the decline of this club, like leaving Adidas did for liverpool.

As I said, 'marketing 101'/'branding 101', having the status symbol of Nike or Adidas in European football is paramount for our 'top club' image.

Lol

Typical Tx post.

I think its Under Armor. I mean, Chelsea is breaking a contract with a big brand, and thats unusual.  That probably mean there was a huge offer from another brand, and I really doubt this brand is Nike. Chelsea is under an uncertain future, with no Uefa Champions League football, the fan base in UK is not one of the biggest, and in terms of global market they already have City, a club that is more likely to achieve big things than Chelsea in next 3 years. No doubt Chelsea still is a good thing for Nike, but I really doubt they would be willing to pay HUGE money to steal a contract from Adidas. That only makes sense for Under Armor. They really want to be a competitive player in this market, and making a deal with Chelsea at this point will representa a turning point for them. For Nike, this move make 0 sense.

What has this club done to make you think they don't value money over anything else?

I don't think people think any less of Arsenal since they switched to Puma. Maybe for footballing reasons but not because of their kit sponsor.

I was listening to a podcast where the hosts talked to a shop owner here in the US. I don't know how it is around the rest of the world, but he said Manchester City shirts are the least popular of the "big clubs". Perhaps their success on the pitch isn't translating to success in shirt sales.

Jesus christ, we're literally following the footsteps of Arsenal & Liverpool when they lost Adidas & Nike. Look around Europe!!... Look!, apart from a freak season it's Nike or Adidas winning the league. BRAND POWER, if your club is aligned with those brands.. you're the elite. When they want you, you're doing something right.

Wow, it's as if saying that if you don't have a contract with Adidas or Nike, you are nobody. I sincerely don't care who is the sponsor as long as he makes good kits.
