Seems to just a random output from a computer program. But I'm sure they massage the fixtures around to suit i.e not put two big darbies on at once, make sure big fixtures are spread out over the course of the season and not all on one weekend, crap like that.

Then obviously there's the CL and Europa league to work around.

Nope. It will be the 3rd game. Could either be postponed OR brought forward like last season.
