As for the Champions League matches, it is not that bad.

Fulham (h), Norwich (a), Man City (h), WBA (h), Southampton (h) and Crystal Palace (h) right after the group stage games.

Everton (h) or Fulham (a) right after the first leg of the last 16.

Aston Villa (a) or Arsenal (h) right after the second leg of the last 16.

And even the games before the UCL games are not such killers.

First 6 PL games: Hull(H), Man Utd(A), Villa(H), Everton(A), Fulham(H) & Spurs(A). Decent games at home but tough ones away. Probably best to get them out of the way early anyway.

We'll face Arsenal(A) and Liverpool(H) during the Christmas period. And we have Swansea at the Bridge on Boxing day. Decent.

Last 6 PL games: Stoke(H), Swansea(A), Sunderland(H), Liverpool(A), Norwich(H) & Cardiff(A). Better run-in than last season.

Our 3rd game against Aston Villa could be postponed or brought forward(like last season) due to our involvement in the UEFA Super Cup.

We play Man United away in August and at the Bridge in January. Early clashes against them for a change.

And why do we always play Liverpool away at the back end of the season FFS?!

Yeah but on the flip side, our PL games BEFORE CL week - Everton(A), Spurs(A), Cardiff(H), Newcastle(A), West Ham(A) & Stoke(A). 5 tough away games!

8th July.

A few quick notes.

Hull at home on opening day is perfect. Hopefully it will be on the Saturday still (lunchtime is the best we can hope for I reckon) and that's a nice game to ease us in.

United away next is probably the best time to get them.

Same goes for Everton away after that.

Boxing Day at home to Swansea is another ideal fixture. Liverpool two days later could go either way.

BUT

That run-in is about as good as anyone could hope.

Palace AWAY

Stoke HOME

Swansea AWAY

Sunderland HOME

Liverpool AWAY

Norwich HOME

Cardiff AWAY

All in all, not a bad set. Personally I'm happy we're home on the opening day and boxing day and that run-in is about as downhill as you get in the EPL.

damn the first 2 are the tougher ones as well, if only the order was reversed since we would have sealed top spot in the group already by then :shifty:

Win the trophy at Anfield?? Torres scores the winner infront of the Kop?

1st part yes. 2nd part no, lol he hasn't even once looked like scoring against them and besides, he will be replaced by a striker who has been linked with us a lot lately

good preparation for ucl final with that run-in as we can rest players as the league would have already been won (at anfield)

The ban was given by the Spanish FA not EUFA and therefor has nothing to do with English football.

You sure about that? I think he will be suspended for our first 2 matches which could be Hull and Villa
